Point Lonsdale may have to make the running and if doing so could see him nicking it from the front. If they ride him for a late burst he won’t have the gears.. imo
A lot could depend on the pace of this race. Emily Upjohn would be my tentative pick

    Westover for me

    Drifted to a backable price

May be watching the first 2 furlongs from behind the sofa

Hopefully he’s matured a bit mentally

If he has he will improve plenty

If he hasn’t he will keep dissapointing

Wd winners. Speed over stamina seemed to have won the day.

I’d say that was some performance and the time suggests it is indeed on the quick side over the full 1m4f.

Once again Frankie gets it right by stepping it up at the right time; the others left trailing for hesitating in my view (esp Hornby).

Brilliant from the winner especially considering it’s her first run . Frankie was equally brilliant but Hornby has ridden another stinker for me.

I said speed won over stamina but time suggested they went quicker than it looked so she demonstrated both.

First two enjoyed the surface the other three laboured on it. Good winner. Not sure tactics mattered. Best horse won.

    She was pure class.

Maybe it was not the strongest Group 1 but that was some performance.

Brilliant filly, well done Cork and Nathan :yahoo:

Emily Upjohn can only get better after that…

Hornby rode westover for a turn of foot which he doesn’t have

He did seem to settle better, they need to make more use of his stamina next time
Very nice turn of foot from the winner

Westover is becoming one of those horses that always has some sort of excuse.

Maybe he is just not that good?

To my mind he is one paced. He won a weak Irish Derby and it will have to be another weak Group 1 for him to win another. I am not sure the jockey will make much difference.
