He never really fulfilled over hurdles, but the win of Spades Are Trumps at Kilbeggan in August, was very impressive. Travelled well, jumped well, and it was nice performance. Only raised 3 lbs for it, and had recent Cheltenham winner, Definite Plan, well beaten. Big player here.

The other I like is Screaming Colours. Bet him a couple of times last year, and he’s fairly solid. Goes well fresh, and the trip no issue. Plenty to like.

Odds will obviously dictate, but planning on betting the pair of them.

Dromore Lad looks like being my selection here, but I do have one eye on Braeside

Braeside will be the one I’ll be waiting for a price on also.

11/2 would be a little tight for me so hopefully someone opens bigger than that

Braeside does look like the obvious improver for staying chases out of those entered

I’ll wait to see how much rain they get after Saturday

Screaming colours is also one I followed last year, seemingly being the bridesmaid on a number of occasions but game horse.
He deserves a big win. I’ll stick with him

Braeside for me too, but better than 11-2 would be nice

My top 4 for this are:

    152 Eleazar Des Neiges
    147 Screaming Colours
    147 Spades Are Trumps
    146 Agent Boru

Best of these looks to be Screaming Colours who ran a cracker in the Midlands National at Uttoxeter and goes well off a break.

Happy with prices for my pair, though I’ll hopefully be able to go in again on Screaming Colours

I took the 15-2 in the end for Braeside

I’ve gone with Braeside too. The drift is a concern but he has some nice back form on the ground including beating Ontheropes in a bumper and paying the price for trying to put it up to Monkfish in a 3m maiden hurdle (he finished 3rd).
    B365 are doing 10-1 ew 4places 1/4 odds.

The novice chase is the most interesting race on the card though.

I can’t believe that price. I didn’t have as much on due to a slight doubt about the trip on that ground but he’s started 3x higher than when 48 decs came out
