On very soft ground Jack, much more likely when you consider his form that he just doesn’t like softish ground, his form without soft in the description is now 111111
July 5, 2020 at 22:44 #1493003Racingpost have it vsoft.
Timeform having it g/s.
Simon Rowland states it was probably between g/s and soft.
I’d be wary of taking RP’s ground as gospel in France, i always am anyway.
I’ll say it again as above, i see no reason nobody should have questioned him going into today on strict form. Either way, good for you and your 9/4 winner.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 5, 2020 at 23:03 #1493008The winner got a bit of a soft lead but still deserved to win. Japan and Enable had plenty of time to go by if they were good enough.
I am not sure what to make of Enable’s run. Maybe Dettori was a length too far back. I just hope that hard race on very soft ground in the Arc has not taken its toll. I would not blame a 6 year old mare who has given her all for deciding she has had enough.
It would be good to see them all cross swords again at Ascot.
July 5, 2020 at 23:15 #1493013I would like to say Ghaiyyath wins wherever he goes this year .. Charlie Appleby has been so patient with this giant of a horse and this is the year he will repay that patience.
William Buick and CA adore him, well who couldn’t he gives his all..well done to them all.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 6, 2020 at 05:34 #1493042Complete superstar Ghaiyyath and one of the worlds best racehorses.
I would love to watch Benbatl vs Ghaiyyath over 10f on fast ground. That would be some race though doubt it will ever happen.July 6, 2020 at 08:14 #1493048I dont understand the love for ghaiyyath atall, bar yesterday hes really done nothing? The facts from yesterday are enable is not as good as she was, but she will still reverse the form with ghaiyyath next time, i wont be backing her unless ghaiyyath is shorter than her (he wont be)
The coronation cup was a group 1 on paper only and theres a massive flaw in that yesterday, japan running over an inferior trip and enable clearly looked after in the race, was apparant from 3 out that unless she did it herself frankie wasnt going to ask her
Surely youll lay me 3/1 in enable vs ghaiyyath NTO after that collosus?
July 6, 2020 at 16:38 #1493067Agree Ham apart from the Enable bit. She looked to run close to last years form (if you take into account she was 85 instead 95 last year). Just needed the run and had a good blow after Frankie giving her far too much to do off a steady pace.

I stuck my head out there at going 3s on Enable.
Her price was wrong in my book.Listen to make money you have to have balls.
If you are strong on something then go for it.
Its very hard to get opportunities like that.
If they meet again I’ll be going 5/6 the two in a match bet.
More than likely Enable will turn things round.
