I’m with you on that Gingertipster as at the odds he is at the moment is underestimating his chance if come back as you say

December 10, 2024 at 09:53 #1715162I think a few are letting their heart rule their head. Nothing wrong in that. In the lap of the gods though the way Henderson speaks he has just got to turn up.🤣🤣
December 26, 2024 at 14:05 #1716371Legendary racehorse and a brilliant training performance form Henderson.
That 9/2 sure looking sweet now.
December 26, 2024 at 14:16 #1716378A pleasing enough return without going over the top and I think all concerned should be congratulated and fingers crossed Cheltenham beckons.
good luck to allDecember 26, 2024 at 14:25 #1716383He’s just beaten the fully fit Champion Hurdle favourite giving her 7lbs. To do that after 3 separate ailments keeping him off the track for 1 year is mighty impressive.
He destroys the lot in March and I’m praying he gets there this time.
December 26, 2024 at 17:29 #1716430CH has been awarded an RPR of just 162 for today’s performance, a whopping 15lbs below his highest mark, achieved in the 2023 Champion Hurdle.
Lossiemouth has been rated 152 today, four pounds below the 156 she achieved in the Mares’ Hurdle in March.
December 26, 2024 at 17:33 #1716431Thought CH was impressive. Lossiemouth is no Annie Power, but Burdett Road may be under-rated
December 26, 2024 at 18:39 #1716440Constitution Hill Christmas Hurdle winning times last 3 years…
2022 3m 51.95s Soft
2023 3m 52.70s Good
2024 3m 45.60s Good (Gd/Sft in places)Not bad considering he was off for a year following a lung infection, colic and a wind op!
December 26, 2024 at 19:08 #1716444Certainly impressive even more seeing the times over years to today

December 27, 2024 at 09:55 #1716501Good to see him back, and looked pretty good as well and will likely come on. I do think Lossiemouth is another Mullins horse who has been over rated; I think she’s a good/ very good mare, but nothing more. Beating a Stayers hurdle winner over 2m4f is to be expected – it’s not as though she’d beaten Istabraq.
Burdett Road is interesting, and is no mug; I think he’s rated approx 100+ on the Flat, and was beaten about 7 lengths by Kyprios on Champions Day……
December 27, 2024 at 09:56 #1716502Think Burdett road had conditions to suit today and race fitness. Happy to judge the hill by how easily he swept past him.
Would love to see Mullins take up the challenge and train lossiemouth for the champion hurdle. It didnt look like she gave her true running and still stayed on well.
January 10, 2025 at 17:41 #1717795If all goes well it will be Champions Hurdle – Punchestown this season. No International Hurdle.
January 16, 2025 at 15:59 #1718097Change of plans and now heading for the International next week apparently.
I’m pretty surprised to be honest and have never been a fan of that meeting as a prep for the festival myself. Grounds always bottomless and call me superstitious but I don’t like a horse running at Cheltenham right before the Festival.
I wander if Lossiemouth will turn up again. The 2m 1f on the new course is much more suitable for her and she was ultra impressive last season. Much more impressive than she was in the Mares Hurdle.
Obviously, I think CH beats her again but I don’t like him having another hard battle before the Festival after his issues.
January 16, 2025 at 16:40 #1718098I wonder whether Mullins will decide to go to the Irish Champion with Lossiemouth and instead send Anzadam over rather than have him and State Man (both in the same ownership) run in the same race?

I think the run will do him the power of good. It’ll blast away any remaining cobwebs and rust to leave him shiny and cherry ripe.
January 16, 2025 at 22:12 #1718119Getting older so probably needs bit more work . Good to see he may run although id hold all bets until jockey gets on him in paddock , my bet is he will be a no show .
January 18, 2025 at 06:58 #1718226Henderson still getting the wobbles … run him if he’s sound
