Yep, now there is another one here Pinza.
Perhaps on the principle of "divide and rule"?
Maybe we should all start one?

November 19, 2011 at 12:00 #378559On the ‘principle’ that I wanted to publicly thank Paul Struthers for all his help.
November 19, 2011 at 12:01 #378560Good luck with that Drone.
November 19, 2011 at 12:01 #378561I wish him good luck for the future. Hope he’s enjoying the new baby.

So this is the "official" TRF thread, is it? as opposed to the one where we can talk about the reasons for his departure and its implications?

Good luck with that Drone.
Drone
could give
Pinza
a furlong start and a sound beating (without recourse to the persuader) when it comes to verbal eloquence!
November 19, 2011 at 13:03 #378577Crack on with that other thread Pinza – the opening post on
this
one was for me to thank Paul Struthers for the help he has given TRF over the years.
It’s the ‘official ‘ Cormack thanks Paul Struthers thread.
November 19, 2011 at 13:04 #378578What Pete?
November 19, 2011 at 13:21 #378583Boss, just a disagreement between myself and Matron, no problem with that, Matron does a great unsung job for the forum. But I am so seethingly with the idea PS was forced out it has got the better of me.
I do believe what I wrote on an adult forum was ok. As, I think certain things need to be said regardless of the language.
However, do accept the rules of the forum and the good job Matron does.

Why did you not feel you could do that on the established thread?
November 19, 2011 at 14:12 #378597The BHA and everyone connected to them are a total disgrace
I for one would back that statement. For more reasons than this single one piece of news.
I wish Silvoir all the best in his future role. Working for an anachronistic and backward organisation like the BHA would be a strain for anyone.November 19, 2011 at 14:20 #378598Pinza – you’d cause a fight in an empty room.
First – I don’t need to justify anything to you.
Second – because the other thread was primarily about the whip and the BHA’s response – this thread is about my wishing to pubblicly acknowledge that Paul Struthers has been helpful to TRF over the years, to thank him for that and to wish him well. I didn’t want to confuse the two. Carry on with the debate on the other thread. That’s
not
what this thread is about.
What
is
your problem? If it’s with the way the forum is run then I’m afraid I won’t be entering into a debate on that and debating any issues ad infinitum with you.
You need to stop the continual sniping and bickering Pinza – I am REALLY getting sick of it. I love your debate, and if you’d stick to that great, but I’m not going to put up with your pettiness much longer friend.
November 19, 2011 at 14:55 #378605Pete – I’ve had sight of the post that Matron moderated. He was absolutely right to do so.
We don’t have the time to moderate and edit every single post in detail so I’ve advised Matron (and will be following this guidance myself) that any posts containing inappropriate language be deleted in their entirety.
I’m sure the majority of TRF’ers support that.

This
"snipe"
was prompted by you. To be specific, by the unpleasantness of your tone in your first response to my entirely well-meant redirection. I find such an attitude unacceptable.
If you are going to be so very sour and defensive about every contribution I make, as some of your smart one-line responses to my posts elsewhere indicate; and if – as you suggest – you are simply waiting for a slight excuse to boot me off the forum, then there’s hardly any point my contributing at all.
I’m disappointed in your resort to personality bashing. This is not something I myself have much time for: as others have said, I’m happy to cancel, continue and move on. It seems you are unable to do the same.

Pinza
That is SO far from the truth! Having chatted to him about the issue a while back, David Cormack has shown the patience of a saint over recent weeks, arguably to the benefit of the forum.
The other thread was about the use of the whip. This thread was about Paul Struthers leaving his job. Given the interminable amount of threads that have been started about the whip debate, it doesn’t seem particularly out of order to start a new thread on a what is essentially a different subject.

The other thread is quite clearly titledAnyone seen Roy, Stier, Morris or Struthers this week?
and there was already healthy discussion about Paul’s leaving on it, so anyone could have expressed their commiserations and best wishes on it, as some already had when Corm opened the new thread.
Fair enough, if that’s his wont, (though it shows scant regard for those whose thoughts were already published) but Corm’s "like it or lump it" to Pinza’s genuine query wasn’t deserved (imo), and does nothing to enhance the forum. - AuthorPosts
