Although he didn’t appear on the same HRI list, Common Practice also lost his life in the Galway Plate when he brought down Adamantly Chosen. R.I.P. both

Sadly there were way too many fatalities at Galway and as usual there will be one or two we’ll hear later about. According to the HRI lists there could have been 7-8 confirmed ones.
But the Irish Racing officials aren’t really bothered.

Common Practice was mentioned a week earlier alongside Coup D’Etat, Figaruso, I Am River, Minella Sergeant, Plomeur who also died at the meeting.
In the next HRI list we had Adamantly Chosen and Dance For Chester.
That’s eight confirmed ….. so far.

The charm of the Galway races has always eluded me; packed crowds, an unattractive venue, moderate horses, form impossible to interpret, and so many plots.
