Dont think my addeybb bet has any chance at all really on the likely gd to soft
He should be at the 10/1 I took not his current price
Coronet always runs her race but doesnt tend to find as much as youd hope and is vulnerable to anything top class
Deirdre ran very poorly at royal ascot on similar ground so cant back her myself
That leaves magical, who is rock solid and just wins if she runs to form
She has had 9 races this season but the first 3 barely count as they were glorified racecourse gallops
Can see the 1-2 in this being the same 2 horses that filled those spots in the fillies and mares last year
Magical to beat coronet for me
Though I’d be delighted if addeybb won
October 18, 2019 at 19:50 #1470715Magical wins if runs to form simple as. Deirdre the one for the forecast.
October 18, 2019 at 21:40 #1470745I don’t think this is the best running of this I’ve ever seen, and I think it could be a race where we see an upset.
I’ve went for Mehdaayih at 16-1, but she is noticeably drifting, but that wouldn’t put me off too much.
If I’m wrong, I think that Coronet could be the one at the head of affairs. I took 4-1.
October 18, 2019 at 22:12 #1470753The question for me is, did Magical weaken fairly tamely in the final two furlongs of the Arc or was she given an easy time of it? She travelled really nicely into the race so I have got that inkling that was used as a prep for AOB to gain his first Champion Stakes. I can’t be certain about that though and maybe she has had enough for this season.
Either way, I’ll leave it as I don’t think the rest are anywhere near as good as her, although Fox Tal could be a surprise package as was previously mentioned on this thread.
October 19, 2019 at 08:32 #1470796I’ve taken a chance Regal Reality’s run on York soft ground in the York Stakes which can be a bit of an outlier as soft ground goes anyway is an exception to his ability which he showed in the Eclipse and to a slightly lesser extent Juddmonte. If I take my view Magical had a tough race at Longchamp which I have to do if I believe he can win, he’s got three fillies and Addeybb in front of him in the market and in my opinion we haven’t seen the best of him yet, particularly when you factor in who his trainer is. He would prefer better ground of course but this inner track isn’t nearly as bad as the straight track will be and he’s a great each-way price for me given this is a shockingly bad renewal.
October 19, 2019 at 13:32 #1470850Got to back addeybb again esp with the ground , got to take magical on after the arc , i look at like taking on the Cheltenham horses at aintree ….always find it pays it’s way
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
October 19, 2019 at 14:56 #1470876Ground looks way worse than what they’ve called it as in the middle track.
October 19, 2019 at 16:17 #1470896Didn’t back her cos didn’t want to jinx her but
October 19, 2019 at 16:17 #1470897She is tough as nails and deserved another big win
Addeybb ran a cracker for me too
October 19, 2019 at 16:59 #1470909She is such a tough horse. Coronet nowhere!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!October 19, 2019 at 19:08 #1470921She was a gift at 3/1! She is never done for the season! What a filly! Breeders Cup next!
October 19, 2019 at 20:07 #1470928Delighted with that. Screamed her home. Voice gone. Cheers everywhere.
A highlight moment of the flat season for me. Right up there with Enable in the eclipse. Same kind of roar of expectation.
October 19, 2019 at 21:05 #1470932Plenty of you on, well done all.
October 21, 2019 at 09:45 #1472200I rememeber reading on here that Magical was poorly campaigned and it was clear her overracing was catching up on her…..Another gutsy display she is some mare.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!October 21, 2019 at 12:06 #1472218Yer, I read that too JackH after the Arc, but I have another theory. I think Longchampe is like Epsom and some horses just don’t act on it.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.October 21, 2019 at 12:11 #1472219I just think she was ridden too close to a strong pace in the arc
