The value against Strad is surely sovereign , I reckon he,s a great e.w bet
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
October 17, 2020 at 13:06 #1506407For a bit of fun i’ve done Broome ew without the first two favourites. Wasnt going to play but this horse been nagging me this morning lol.
October 17, 2020 at 13:16 #1506410Got my Paddy Power free fiver on Strad. Good luck today everyone.
October 17, 2020 at 13:26 #1506413Picked the wrong outsider. Wd if you found that one.
October 17, 2020 at 13:30 #1506419Absolutely sluiced up
Strad was beaten a very long way out
October 17, 2020 at 13:31 #1506421Seriously impressive from Trueshan, winning easily despite being very free and even pulling for his head half a mile out.
I suppose that’s his hurdling career put to rest.
October 17, 2020 at 13:32 #1506422Even if Stradivarius had turned up and run to his best, I doubt he would have beaten the winner.
October 17, 2020 at 13:34 #1506423“I just can’t get enough” – the stable’s/owner’s favourite song. Horses have unlimited powers and energy, or what?
October 17, 2020 at 22:50 #1506567That’s a fair point well made TTM, but marketing wise they have to call it something like that otherwise it wouldn’t work. For me as I said before Champions Day is Champions week at Royal Ascot. That’s when it really counts. I love Champions day but it’s not really in a true sense a Champions Day, that’s a point. Could we ever move it back into late September though? That’s the only thing it could do? JG horse’s running today like they were already in a cozy winter shed!
I get your point on Stradivarius now about unknown horses. I still think a fit Stradivarius would’ve won that.
Overall what a great day for the sport though. Fantastic stories.
A tough year for all. Least we had it. Roll on the Lincoln!
October 18, 2020 at 09:10 #1506599I did not have a bet all day so I am not talking through my wallet! I dislike Flat racing on heavy ground and never seem to do well on it.
I am just glad Hollie and Tom did well to give the day a lift. Otherwise I thought it was completely underwhelming. The day is meant to be about Champions but (with the possible exception of this race) it identified none.
The day is never really going to work in this time slot on heavy ground. It got away with it for the first two years because of Frankel.
October 18, 2020 at 20:04 #1506659Part of the problem is constant summer over watering. Last year the ground was better on the inside course because they hadn’t watered it all summer
There are improvements that definitely need to be made to the day and questions to be asked after two terrible years of ground conditions
