Hopefully be straightforward for him Mike.
Good luck with him Kris. No doubt come the day, I’ll be regretting not taking that 5’s, but I can’t justify two Antepost in this right now, so I’ll miss out.
September 10, 2020 at 07:57 #1500568You won’t learn anything about Logician we didn’t already know from last year (unless he gets beat obviously), 5/1 is a nice price to be on in what probably isn’t going to be a strong race the division is incredibly weak behind Stradivarius but if we get a decent Leger winner and they came here that would change things for me significantly. There is a strong likelihood too if Logician and a Leger winner (or placed horse) came here that horses like Nayef Road would sidestep this for the Cadran over 2M 4F for older horses as it would be more winnable and a Group 1, probably with more prize money.
They shouldn’t be cutting Logician today but knowing how bookmakers react to these type of things they will do. It will be good to have him back and they have plenty of options for him next season be it over staying trips or 12F, assuming he retains his ability of course.
If I was an antepost punter I’d be more inclined to look at the potential Doncaster Cup winner and take a swing at them – somebody like Spanish Mission or Selino who I think looks overpriced in that race but again they’d have the Cadran option which is a Group 1 and that makes this trickier.
September 10, 2020 at 11:47 #1500591I agree Tin Man. They shouldn’t cut, but they will.
The entry speaks volumes to me, and I’ll take that 5-1.
September 21, 2020 at 23:40 #1502516Goshen entered up for a couple of races at Haydock this weekend.
Not convinced we’ll see him, as the ground/forecast looks against him, but it’s good to see that he’s ready to go.
Took a few more quid at 20’s anyway.
Goshen 33’s EW
Goshen 20’sSeptember 26, 2020 at 11:26 #1503490Goshen 16-1
September 26, 2020 at 16:02 #1503563Just a small ew dart in his direction, but after coming last today I would think that is it for him in respect of this contest.
September 26, 2020 at 16:09 #1503567Ring rust or not that’s a real blow. Thought he had any amount in hand. Did you watch the race?
BUY THE SUN
September 26, 2020 at 16:20 #1503568Yes. He led but faded when asked final 2 and a half furlongs.
September 26, 2020 at 16:36 #1503572Must have been ridiculously unfit to come last off that mark.

September 27, 2020 at 21:44 #1503703Logician is going to go for a group 3 race, what race I don’t know but that was the headline in the racing posts members area. All his entries are group one races but as we all know they can be entered late. If anybody is a member who can throw some light on this it will help.
September 28, 2020 at 11:42 #1503731Hills have pushed out Logician to 14/1, all the other bookies are between 9/2 and 6/1.
Logician has been entered for the group 3 Cumberland Lodge Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
September 29, 2020 at 05:31 #1503847Tread carefully, Gosden has been fairly consistent in saying that targeting a G1 this season was unlikely for Logician.

September 29, 2020 at 08:36 #1503852TTC I wouldn’t back Logician for this race, especially after gosden said he was a 12f horse and only got The leger trip because of fast ground. Nearly died last winter so they are taking it easy hence the group 3 on Saturday.
September 29, 2020 at 12:58 #1503883Enbihaar has been retired. Stradivarius going for the Arc. Logician not running. In view of this I’ve gone Nayef Road 6-1 ew. Will have had a break and ought to be competitive against the remaining field one would think.
September 30, 2020 at 10:30 #1503973Are Hills playing games, they pushed Logician out to 14/1 a couple of days ago and they have brought him back in to 5/1 today. Bet365 and Hills have removed Nayef Road from their markets.
September 30, 2020 at 10:32 #1503974I noticed that a lot of bookies shortened Logician up yesterday, one as low as 3s. I don’t get it.
September 30, 2020 at 10:34 #1503976Mike I don’t get either, he’s running in a group 3 on Saturday and will surely miss Ascot.
