Who knows what ability remains, and she was too keen last time as she sometimes is but
Nashwa 40s ew
October 19, 2024 at 15:47 #1710331Calandagan’s trainer saying hopefully he will be nearer the pace.
Value Is EverythingOctober 19, 2024 at 15:50 #1710333Nashwa may well be looking more towards the breeders cup – may still not be fit. Goes extremely well on firm ground. That said, is getting close to a backable price today.
Value Is EverythingOctober 19, 2024 at 15:54 #1710334I’m really looking forward to this and I don’t even like the Flat. Economics is gorgeous.
October 19, 2024 at 15:58 #1710336What a rough old race that was.
The more I know the less I understand.
October 19, 2024 at 16:00 #1710337That’ll do me, with the 3rd, at 50s
October 19, 2024 at 16:02 #1710339Well done Wilts thought he had it at one point.
The more I know the less I understand.
October 19, 2024 at 16:05 #1710341Cheers RTB
yeah, so did I.October 19, 2024 at 16:06 #1710342WD Wilts.
Anmaat very professional.
October 19, 2024 at 16:06 #1710343wd winners
October 19, 2024 at 16:06 #1710344Calandagan did well considering very slowly away, had to wait and then rushed up too quickly. Anmaat had to wait a bit but Crowley did the right thing in not rushing – or not being able to rush.
Iresine may have beaten Anmaat too had she been able to weave through / better ride.Value Is EverythingOctober 19, 2024 at 16:08 #1710345Disgusted with the ride from Calandagans jockey.
I thought the horse was a bit special and he proved it today.
After a dreadful break, he then proceeded to light the horse up.If he’d have accepted the poor break like he should have and saved everything for the finish, he’d have won easy.
October 19, 2024 at 16:09 #1710346Economics found to have flood in the nose.
October 19, 2024 at 16:09 #1710347I must say, that with the ground as it is, i was expecting more shocks today than there has been.

Been difficult to win from the back today though. The slow start had him on the back foot and made it tough.
October 19, 2024 at 16:27 #1710354At his past best Timeform rated Anmaat just 4 lbs below Calandagan’s best. But had a long time off after winning the 2023 D’Ispahan.
First run coming at Haydock won on reappearance in Group 3 company despite his far superior form – unfit in August? Then only 5th when a short priced favourite in a Group 2 on Arc weekend (this month!) on his only start since. So possibly this was the only race day he’s been fit for over a year.

Nah. Having watched the replay a few times, would only have been third with a clear run.
