I know I shouldn’t, and I’ve been good with my Cheltenham bets this year, well at least until NRNB, but I had to take the 50’s for Honeysuckle.
Sadly without NRNB it’s not a big bet, but it doesn’t have to be at 50’s.
November 12, 2019 at 14:07 #1474654Lebaik pulled from the Morgiana now. Just 5 runners; Klassical Dream, Petit Mouchoir, Sharjah, Saldier & Yaha Fizz. Still expect Sharjah to be pulled unless the ground quickens up a bit
November 15, 2019 at 22:42 #1475038Heard on podcast earlier today that there has only been 1 winner ever that has won the Champion Hurdle after winning the Supreme Novices the previous season. Not an appetising stat for Klassical Dream supporters.
November 16, 2019 at 10:14 #1475077Yeah I saw that too
It being such a poor division makes it easier for him I suppose
November 16, 2019 at 10:40 #1475081Well i’ve rowed in at 3-1, its likely he will go 7-4 or something if he wins today.
November 16, 2019 at 14:07 #1475127Bueveur dair is going to piss up in this
November 16, 2019 at 14:10 #1475130So buveur dair is gonna win the champion hurdle
With petit mouchoir so close to both saldier and klassical dream the form looks pretty rubbish
November 16, 2019 at 14:24 #1475133Disappointing.
November 16, 2019 at 14:53 #1475143Early days lads…wouldn’t be jumping to conclusions off that Morgiana too fast

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 16, 2019 at 16:46 #14751622/5 suggests he was expected to win but at the same time faugheen was supposed to that day aswell, he was very keen and that head carraige and jump at the first was raw, he will improve, but PM brings the form down too much for me, if saldier and KD had pulled away from PM id be inclined to agree, but have a massive doubt now
BVD is on a different level to what looks like turning up, not buying the saldier-> espoir dallen formline idea either, plus i think BVD would still have won last season had he stood up (i opposes him that day) i wont be doing the same this year and 6/1 atm looks very, very good even at this stage
November 16, 2019 at 16:56 #1475165Yep, BUVA DAIR for me, Its like alot of people have forgotten
November 18, 2019 at 11:43 #1475275ham, do you not think the fact that Petit Mouchoir had a run already this season might have brought him on? Petit Mouchoir was a very good Hurdler a couple of years back. He got his own way up front and ran a decent race. He’s still only 8 rising 9 also
You can make a similar case here for Saldier as you can for Battleoverdoyen in the RSA picture; Any Second Now was dog-sh1t in his last start before yesterday and based off that form Battleoverdoyen needed to win by more. But maybe Any Second Now and Petit Mouchoir both came on a lot for their first runs? Yesterday was also Battleoverdoyens second run though so its not quite the same.
I have Saldier each way (33/1 and 20/1) and Sharjah each way (33/1) for Champion Hurdle and I suffer with confirmation bias
Please someone agree
November 18, 2019 at 12:50 #1475281Great run from saldier. Very happy with that
But the horse to take out from the race was Sharjah. Hated the ground and pulled really hard.
28/1 is very good value. I think he’s the quickest horse in the division and will improve for the run and on better ground he Is no way a 28/1 ****.v
Topped up at 28/1 EW singles and multiples
November 18, 2019 at 21:59 #1475323I wouldn’t be too downhearted if I was on Klassical Dream for the CH. He was really feeling his oats before the Morgiana , bored along like mad when the flag dropped, skied the first then bounced vigorously over the next couple and didn’t have enough boot at the finish. With the tickle out of his feet I expect him to wise the head and get down lower over his hurdles as the season goes on, and when he gets a strongly run champion hurdle and the Cheltenham hill he may be a different proposition.
But if he isn’t a good enough hurdler to win it and goes over fences next season, he is going to be fun to watch in the Arkle. I reckon he could eat fences for breakfast.
November 18, 2019 at 22:11 #1475325I get the angle vautour, i could be slightly overreacting for sure, but the vibes were not that klassical dream was going to come on alot and willies interview after IMO seemed disheartened rather than forthrightly saying he needed it, price indicates the yard were keen, i also got the impression he was surprised saldier was the better of the two riccis, he seemed very very disappointed with sharjah
Like i said he was raw at the start of the race and it probably cost him a little, but wouldnt you have liked to have seen more from a champion hurdle favourite? Petit mouchoir also hasnt won a race in two years, he can run well from time to time but im not convinced by anything in that race, ill be surprised if the CH winner comes from it and if BVD was in that race he would have won it on the bridle if he retains his ability which theres no reason why he wont thus far
BUT sitting on a big price e/w with salider/sharjah is fantastic, as much as i dont think saldier is good enough to win, he definitely could, wouldnt be touching the price now though sharjah on good grounf would be interesting, just judging by willies reaction ill be watching for him NTO on better ground!
Battleoverdoyen wont be a grade 1 chaser, will get lapped in the RSA
November 30, 2019 at 14:19 #1476212Is this now the weakest champion hurdle of all time??
Maybe cornerstone lad stole an easy lead as buveur has beaten the others quite convincingly but still pathetic from him not winning there. If I was Gordon Elliot I’d be thinking of sending Envoi Allen here
November 30, 2019 at 14:22 #1476214He really should have been lapping these , he has now been turned over odds-on three times in a year , couldn’t have before def can’t have him now
