Possibly HDLG but he ran to 177 on his last race, 177 is no small feat, shiskin will need to prove to be above elite to beat 177, he may do that, but 6/4 this far out? Dont think so, im not arguing that 6/4 on the day is a bad price,
And yes mike 9 rising 10 but he ran to 177 at the “end” if last season, just over 6 months ago, its unlikely he will have lost much in that timeframe, possibly by the end of this season though, possibly

Personally, I’m beginning to get a bit worried about Shishkin.
Firstly his performance at Aintree was pretty lacklustre. Normally you could simply put that down to being the end of a long season etc but it was a concern to me at the time. Then the surprise news that he had wind surgery in the summer which points to some sort of underlying issue and finally Hendo pulls him out of the Tingle with one of his quite dubious and vague excuses.
Absolutely love the horse and hope he shows in the Desert Orchid that his wellbeing is not a problem but just get the sense that all is not well with him at the moment.
Can’t back Chacun after what we saw in March and Nube Negra will have to have improved again this year to win so its almost Energumene by default for me at this stage.

If it comes out that he’s fine and 12s is still available il be tempted to add him to energumene
12’s is a very fair price considering it was his first run of the season.

Yes he completely blew up didnt he and never really looked particularly enthusiastic at any point

He got taken on by notebook who is a very solid horse and completely burnt him off
Looks like shiskin is going to have a poor prep so very much advantage energumene at this stage imo
Happy with the 5s I took at the start of the week
He does look the business, but with Shishkin in the market his price is always going to hold to some degree.
Therefore i’d rather wait sometime and take a shorter price. At the end of the day he has had a setback or two in his time + missed the festival last year. Those are the sort of horses i’d rather wait until closer to the time and take a shorter price. Especially at single figures this far out.
Cue Shishkin be out of the season and him be 6/4 soon lol.
