So you know
Imperial Commander
will beat Nicholls 3 then?
March 10, 2010 at 21:46 #281570– 18 horses who are unbeaten this season entered
– lots that have won by wide margins/0r on bridle
– very little form to make any sense of who is best
– Wide open race
– Impossible to back anything with confidence
– Cross out the english runners and have a lucky dipMarch 11, 2010 at 01:06 #281596Will Ruby ride one of Willie’s or will he be on the Hales horse?
March 11, 2010 at 19:28 #281761hes supposed to have chosen hales horse..
xMarch 11, 2010 at 19:54 #281769Was impressed with Shot from the Hip but also like Tavern Times on the basis he’s contested a race with 14+ horses, good pre-requisite to have in this very competitive race.
March 12, 2010 at 11:42 #281863i also agree i am siding with shot from the hip at this stage 10-1 with ladbrokes
March 12, 2010 at 16:57 #281959Looks like punters are waking up to Drumbaloo, the one with the form in the book – this one now 8s + 7s from 16s last week – think it may end up going off favourite.
March 13, 2010 at 11:40 #282066Strong fancy with Shot From The Hip like many people. But also fancy Cue Card as an each way bet. Does anyone give Cue Card much of a chance? Form of his only start seems to be working out quite well, was never really asked any questions and the stale seem to think he is their best ever bumper runner? (not sure if they have had many good ones though!)

See pages 4 and 8 – nobody else has mentioned it.

Cheers Stilvi, that was lazy of me!!
March 14, 2010 at 17:41 #282314Nice boost for the form of Shot From The Hip with Acey (4th behind him) winning very cosily in the 5.25 at Limerick today. Down to 8.2 on Betfair now…
March 14, 2010 at 23:28 #282379I’m have a strange feeling that, when his team of bumper horses don’t look that strong, Willie Mullins will win this!

Have ruled it down to: Elegant Concorde, Shot From The Hip, Drumbaloo, Day Of A Lifetime, Bishopsfurze, Up Ou That and Tavern Times.
I’ve backed Hidden Universe at 20/1 but I can’t really see him doing the business if I’m honest. I’m a big Tavern Times fan I must admit, nice price too.
March 17, 2010 at 11:08 #283218Up Ou That is my tip in the race
March 17, 2010 at 11:30 #283229I’ve backed Megastar because at our NH review at the start of the season G Moore had said he was the best horse he’d ever had..whether he still thinks it now, I don’t know but I thought 25/1 was worth the risk. It was said last week that Tavern Times was running all over the Mullins horses, which is possibly why Ruby has gone for the Nicholls horse.
March 17, 2010 at 11:58 #283234Ruby wouldn’t have first choice as Paddy Mullins would have and i am sure he rather stay with a horse he has already won on that a heavy ground unexposed horse.
Also their is bound to be a bit of satisfying both camps
March 17, 2010 at 12:17 #283239Tizzard has also stated Cue Card is the best bumper horse he has had and for my money he was visually far more impressive than Megastar.
Appears no money for it but I assume that is due to the assumption the Irish always win this.
Shot From The Hip possibly the best of the Irish. I thought Tavern Times displayed an awkward head carrige (similar to Sanctuaire) when he won – again that might be inexperience. Will find out about both in quick succession.
