Bell Rock and Lucander for me with the 8 places but I massively respect both Khalid Abdullah’s runners and all of Haggas’ runners too. This is seriously tricky though looks a very strong renewal.
September 26, 2020 at 10:08 #1503479Money back as Ilaraab a NR. Shame.
Tempus 7-1 ew, added Bell Rock ew 7 places.
September 26, 2020 at 11:30 #1503492Tempus – obvious chance but i’ve a slight concern that his two worst runs have been in the month of October, so he might be off the boil.
Anythingtoday – 1m4f winner who’s been performing admirably over shorter but the price has gone for a place and i don’t see him winning
Majestic Dawn – fifth in the race last year, definite chance if last time was merely to blow away the cobwebs; blinkers are a fair shout.
Bear Force One – 66-1 ? Potential non stayer but has stamina on the dams side. Too big a price to ignore.
Fifth Position – held up in two runs at tracks which favour prominent racers so has a better chance today and could go several places better than his 8th in this last year.MD, FP and BFO for me.
September 26, 2020 at 11:34 #1503493Nothing has changed my mind about Bell Rock. I am very hopeful the extra furlong will see him to even better effect.
The Abdullah pair clearly have great chances. At a bigger price, I could not resist a bit on Majestic Dawn. It is a little bit worrying that he ran so poorly on seasonal debut but he ran well here last year and the blinkers go on for the first time.
September 26, 2020 at 12:24 #1503508Think this is massively open, maybe even more than usual, so i went for an outsider in Dubai Mirage. 8 places with skybet. Could improve a bit as anlightly raced 3 year old, step up probably helps, didn’t get a clear run last time out in a steady run race. Doesn’t have to improve much at all to place in the top 8. Good luck all
Dubai Mirage 22/1 EW
September 26, 2020 at 13:18 #1503524Al Ruffa looks completely overlooked here. Even with place concessions on offer, I’ve went for 25’s the win.
September 26, 2020 at 13:27 #1503531I should add that I’ve already taken Sir Busker, but going by the market vibes, I can’t be confident
September 26, 2020 at 14:03 #1503536I’ve added Zhui Feng at 100’s, and 80’s EW Eight Places……..purely on the basis I’d lose the plot if he did it.
September 26, 2020 at 15:27 #15035533 long shots for buttons EW for me
Kryptos
You’re Hired
Zhui FengSeptember 26, 2020 at 15:41 #1503556Outstanding Mark and Cork
September 26, 2020 at 15:43 #1503557WD you two
September 26, 2020 at 15:44 #1503558wd MarkTT and Cork. And anyone else who spotted it.
September 26, 2020 at 15:47 #1503561Thanks VTC and well done to Mark as well.
The Cambridgeshire is my favourite Flat handicap of the season – and I like it even more now!
To be fair I think he has had the run of the race. But it was a good ride from Hanagan. Being out in front was a good place to be.
And Bell Rock was placed too!
September 26, 2020 at 15:55 #1503562Thanks VTC, Greengrass, Mike and CAS; well done to others who made a profit.
Honestly, I didn’t expect that price for a relatively young horse with form over course and distance.
I had a conversation recently about the prices without on course betting during this pandemic and there have definitely been some bizarre results
September 26, 2020 at 16:08 #1503566Well done MartTT and Cork All Stars with Majestic Dawn what a pick
Bit of a Frankel moment there on the Rowley Mile nothing was going to catch him.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 26, 2020 at 17:34 #1503582Well Mark and Cork All Star!
Of my selections only Derevo made any sort of mark. Bear Force One would need a horsebox to stay 9 furlongs if he’s that keen!
Lastly Kryptos actually managed to finish a close second on the far side, but well adrift off a strong near side draw bias. The fancied ones on that side pretty much gave up the struggle anyway, so not sure the run was worth much.September 27, 2020 at 15:53 #1503666Mark and Cork, I don’t know where you guys pulled that from, that was a tremendous selection.
