Great winner Bully!
July 10, 2008 at 23:37 #172770Cheers mate, to be honest I only seem to be winning on horses 16-1 and outwards. Just cant seem to get my well fancied 5-1s etc to win for me (which in the long term I think I would prefer..).
Thats one was my best result on the lays and plays so far, a pretty good day, although admittedly got more of Bulwark winning the chester cup, as re-backed him pre race.
July 19, 2008 at 14:59 #173799Most of the ones I like appear to be covered so I’ll chance my arm with
Mullglen 1pt e/w @ 20-1
Pockets Pick 1pt e/w @ 40-1
Finnegan McCool 1pt e/w @ 66-1
Shampagne 1pt e/w @ 66-1July 30, 2008 at 11:39 #175311Goodwood opener.
3pts Som Tala @7-1 – Was foiled by Bulwark in the Chester Cup but that was a sapping test of stamina, and shouldnt be too dis-similar to todays conditions. Has a very good chance and would imagine they have had this as a taregt for some time.
2pt Mudawin @10-1 – Really liked him in the Pitmans Derby and he only really got going at the end, that w3as a slow pace but he may be well suited to a greater distance test if the pace is slow.
Baycat 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 40-1 – should be suited to ground conditionsa but has stamina question to answer, a very smart horse to be so big.

September 12, 2008 at 19:46 #180661Only count up running total when I get a nice winner, its a matter of picking one’s time to reflect in orderr to keep a positive outlook. Ive been down before and still fought back.

Gallagher is a decent favorite no doubt about it. However I will have a point on the two one cool cats Marine Boy at 7s and Icesolator at 25-1.
With the heavy ground, and possibly a piece of good front running it is not completely unthinkable that Sign Of Approval (being by refuse to bend) could turn this into a test, against this lot who do not have stamina in abundance.
Sign Of Approval 1pt e/w 2pt win @ 50-1.
1pt Icesolator 25-1, 1pt Marine Boy 7-1.
