Visually impressive from GDC but prefer to see a horse have a race rather than a schooling session.

This looks a cracker , I prefer Bravemansgame , loved the way he put russells horse to bed on boxing day , GDC while impressive hasn’t beaten anything of note yet

Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026

Nothing will get near him after that, if he replicates that round of jumping, this is a certainty… as soon as NRNB comes up ill be piling into this, that was as good a round of jumping as a novice as ive seen in a good while

Hes a grade 1 winner of hurdles HDLG beating some decent rivals out of sight

Hope they send him the GC, he could easily run to 165, which could be about enough this season to win it

Cannot see them going for the Gold Cup with a horse who has only made his debut over fences after Christmas.

Highly unlikely cork, last horse to was coneygree of course, but given that the gold cup horses are rated sub 170 (regardless of what the handicapper sais) its feasable he could run 160+ looking at that, but of course, mullins has plenty for the GC so theres pretty much no chance he will though, hes only 6 aswell so, just an observation, i wish theyd try it

Hdlg, he beat horses who ran to around 140 over hurdles, by 22+ lengths eased FTO, its very possible there not as good over fences and are slightly overrated, but then again, there was about 6 of them, he was a better hurdler than BMG also, by 6lbs and the roof of that was never reached due to lack of runs, i feel your massively underrating that today, but we shall see!

He was Ham but look at the turn around between BMG and AS on boxing day compared to the Aintree hurdles race , BMG is built to chase and has now beaten one of the best rated novice chasers in the UK ….not some 140 horses who have all been beaten numerous times , fingers crossed they both get there in 1 piece and it’s a cracker

The fact that we now know GDCs can jump a fence very well (hopefully stays that way lol) makes him hard to beat here for me.
    What a performance.

BMG won around Kempton a track that probably is perfect for him as Nicholl’s has pinpointed. He was well beat at the festival while GDC has won there.

Yep fingers crossed both make it fit and well.

In BMG’s defence the Cheltenham race was in a grade 1 against Bob Olinger whereas GDC won a handicap hurdle.

Yep Mike, he was also beaten 4.5 by GDM. 1/2L ahead of Bear Ghylls

GDCs recorded a higher RPR at Chelt in a handicap than BMG did in a G1.

I did mention this one on the Cheltenham Bets thread. There is a long way to go, but Galopin Des Champs at 33-1 for me.

I’ve been ploughing into GALOPIN all over the summer 12’s is the best I have all the way into 6/1, along with some doubles, trebles etc.

    We shall see…..

    Nice horse tho

Galopin Des Champs look something special, but I’ve missed the price completely.

I’ve taken Fury Road at 10/1 for a bit of interest

I am in fairly deep on Galopin Des Champs from 10/1 down to 4/1. Earlier this week Paddy Power had GDC at 11/8 and now they have put him out to 7/4. Not sure what to make of that? He may have had a setback or Mullins will pull one of his usual moves and run him in the Turner’s Novice Chase? GDC has plenty of speed but is also a strong stayer, with the Gold Cup probably being next year’s target. Then, why would he go for the shorter trip at Cheltenham and potentially get done for speed by Bob Olinger?

Altior – Mullins’ last two Brown Advisory winners had raced over 3 miles prior to the festival, whereas Sir Des Champs won the Martin Pipe and then stayed over that trip to win the JLT ( stepped up to 3 miles at Punchestown )

So there is some previous Mullins form to go on here

The other thing for me is En Beton and Capodanno emerging as potential winners of this race
