Was going to do a little write up last night on today’s only bet. Glad i never in hindsight considering he was pulled out this morning. Easily could of spent an hour writing about him. That Bless Him is by far the most frustrating horse i have ever followed or ever will, without a shadow of doubt.

    Anyway Day 2

    Zhui Feng £17.50 EW @ 25/1 BOG 1/4 odds 5 Places 1.15

Another bloody cliff horse ! Gave the thread it’s biggest ever loser a couple of years ago in the Royal Hunt Cup. Still convinced he has a good race in him but maybe this is his last chance. The problem with betting horses Ante Post in these handicaps has been not knowing the draw when you place the bet and he has had no luck on that front.

However it looks like he has got a great one this time and ran probably his best race for quite a while LTO considering. So loves the course, has the cheekpieces back on, good draw, his best jockey and a really good handicap mark. What can go wrong

Got another bite at the cherry with Russian Emperor to enter the Derby picture in the second race.Probably will if he won.

    Hukum £10 EW @ 14/1 5 places King George V Stakes

Spent a bit of time during lockdown putting a team together and thought he looked pretty smart on his last run. Never knew you could get into these handicaps with just two runs and would be very surprised if he does not end up a fair bit better than a 90 horse. Had a few squid on him for the Derby as well.

Lord North £20 to win £402.50 POW

Here we go on his journey to becoming a G1 horse, probably is one now to be fair. Up to 116 today after beating a very good 120 horse at Sandown last time. Very similar profile to the great Halling who won the Eclipse on his first try at G1 level and those entries he had in the Dubai World Cup and that Saudi race suggests he is held in very high regard by Johnny G. Easily will be one of the most satisfying bets i have ever had if he were to win this.

    Afaak £3.75 EW @ 16/1 5 places & £3.75 EW @ 16/1 7 places Royal Hunt Cup

A decent enough EW chance really.

Dubai Love £3.75 EW @ 16/1 BOG Sandringham Stakes

A good laugh putting your thoughts up before the races start. A horrendous start today and then Russian Emperor wins to put himself in the Derby picture half an hour later :good:

Hukum looked like the winner all the way through the race for me and could have an outside chance of going to Epsom.

A very satisfying win from Lord North. Probably sounds a bit of blowing your own trumpet but i love trying to spot a horse that you think is very good, follow them and they go on to reach the top. Hundreds of failures in the past but when you get one right you never forget it. Lochsong was probably number one and Halling in second place but this fella could surpass them both i hope. Makes you wonder how Bless Him would of got on this week now FFS

Even the Hills horse nicked the 7th place in the Hunt Cup to round off a very special day.

    Day 2

Dubai Warrior £17.50 to win £220 Wolferton

Gone a bit pear shaped this one. Thought this would not be as strong a race as it has turned out to be and Dettori would be riding. Still got a chance like.

Monarch of Egypt £22.50 to win £303.75 Jersey Stakes

Was a bit of a risky one at the time and who knows what would of happened the other night if he got a clear run. Even if you forget about that his two runs against Siskin last year should really give him a great chance here.

    Khaloosy £7.50 win @ 9/1 BOG Britannia

Dubai Love £3.75 EW @ 16/1 BOG Sandringham Stakes

    Both got chances i suppose.

    Embour £7.50 win @ 17.5 12.40 ( sat )

    Well done Botchy

Frenchy made a statement that Pinatubo was finished after the 2000G.

Now Frenchy is saying that Lord North will never win another Group One.

    Hello Jack

It took me a bit of time to figure it out.

I think Ridenza is the one.

Its cat and mouse stuff trying to find out if they are sending me the right way or not.

Sinawann ran a nice race but its Ridenza thats the work in progress.

Do you think Sheik Mo will drop Pinatubo back in trip if he fails in the St.James Palace, Saturday.

Could he be faster than Battash ?

Hey Colosus, here is a risky one for ya. Try and get some bookie to add Lord North to the Breeders Cup Classic market. I have been trying for weeks but they don’t add him.

    Ok Botchy

    Heres an idea.

Simon Nott of Starsportsbet is on this site.

His user name is Simon Nott.
I dont think he replies himself on the forum.

    His twitter is @SimonNott.

With the numbers he is talking they shouldnt have a problem giving you a price on Lord North to win at the Breeders Cup meeting, thats if its run this year in November.

Who knows you might get a foot in the door with them futurewise.

He states that the fiver and tenners are their bread and butter, that they all ad up.

With the numbers he is talking being punted, I think his company would have no problem laying you.

I worked in the industry, they are always looking for talent.

You give me a sense that you could become a very good trader.

The purpose of a trader is to protect profits.

You sit at your desk watching race markets, looking at the firms book on the race.

The call comes in from the shop, some bucko wants a grand each way at 8 to 1.

First question you ask the shop person is Are they a regular ??

If they are you might give the bucko a chance.

If you dont want his business you might lay him 200 each way at 6s.
    Its called Protection of Profits.

    Remember one important thing.

You cant teach talent but you can teach tactics.

btw Lord North got a free pass to the Breeders Cup Turf ?

    Colosus B-)

I’ll give them a shout cheers Colosus.

Had a couple this afternoon and still the same as when i placed them round about.

    Russian Emperor Laid £10 @ 12.0 Derby
    Ocean Atlantique £7 @ 55.0 Derby

Search for A song £1.50 win @ 130.0 Melbourne Cup

Happy enough overall on Day 3. I think the ground went against Monarch of Egypt, looked far better on fast ground the other night than he has before. Better horse won on the day really.

    Day 4

Kimari Free bet to win £565.00 Commonwealth Cup
    Lay in play £65 @ 2.0 Unmatched

Quite glad to see the French horse get pulled out today and think it is going to take a good one to beat her here. Quite possible a very good one could emerge from the UK side

Trainer always seems very optimistic but he did say she did a piece of work before she set off that no other horse he trained had ran as fast over 5 Furlongs. Fast ground, soft ground, dirt, turf all seems no problems.

    Ventura Rebel £3.75 EW @ 33/1 4 places

Had a few bevvies with a guy who had a small share in this one at York last year. After he won his first race the syndicate were offered a big price for him and could not turn it down basically. It sounded like they were very hopeful he was a good horse to look forward to as a 3YO.

Born With Pride £7.50 win @ 7/1 BOG Queens Vase

Ran a right stinker on his first run this year and probably the rain has helped a fair bit. Looks like the Haggas runners could come on a fair bit for the first runs.

A great run from Kimari today, just ran into a smart one on the day.

    Day 5

Looks an absolute nightmare card on Saturday.

    Embour £12.50 to win £238.75 12.40

I think he ran before Cheltenham on the All Weather which was on ITV. Looked like Ryan Moore had no interest at all in winning but looking at the replay it never seemed as bad as it first appeared. Maybe was just the different channel pictures

Had a bet on the O’brien horse for next years 2000 Guineas this morning. Only watched his race back last night and thought he was super impressive.

Khaadem Free bet to win £427 Golden Jubilee

Thought the rain had wiped out his chance yesterday and a lot depends on the weather overnight.

    Somebody is backing pinatubo.

    I missed 2/1 on BF.

    Now 16/10 on BF.

I am going to put my heart where my mouth is and back him.

I have to stay with him today.

I am worried about the mile, think he needs shorter.
