Been banging the drum for some time now about Sir John Lavery since he came 3rd in an Irish maiden the back end of last year.

Early days to be backing Royal Ascot but had my First Bet on Minding to win Prince of Wales Stakes @ 6-1

6/1 will look massive on the day, especially if Almanzor and Jack Hobbs don’t turn up.

John Gosden has said that the Hardwicke is Jack Hobbs’ likely Royal Ascot Target.

My worry in backing Minding would be how straight Aidan is likely to have her. We saw Found coming out undercooked on several occasions before peaking later in the season. Minding is also entered in the Queen Anne and is favourite for that race. Maybe they would duck Almanzor.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Maybe Steve, but i don’t see Minding even running over a Mile this year. I think a mile and a half is her main target the second half of the year. Either way it will great to see the Filly taking on the boys this year. ;-)

Not too much to carried away with over the 3 days but i’m going to stick with Witness in Court in the 4.40 at Aintree. I’ve backed him a couple of times this year and he was going great guns at Aintree last time jumping really well before U/R at the 9th.

Always seems to fall at Aintree but i’m not going to let him go without a bet in this race off 133

E/W Bet on Dineur in the Aintree Foxhunters @ 20’s

Backed him last year in the same race and ran a great race to be second to On the Fringe. He had a nice pipe opener last week where he ran well for a long way and came second.Slight doubt’s about OTF this year but it would be no surprise if he returned to form here.

Very good 20/1 winner today with Dineur winning.

Looks like this horse has missed Cheltenham and been saved for Aintree.

Hopefully a bit better ground helps him out here.

A long range dart launched on Capri to win the St.Leger @ 16/1

Possibly runs in the Ballysax this Saturday at Leopardstown. I can certainly see him following the Idaho route, as in turning up for the English and Irish Derby’s and running well in both of those in the early part of the year, before a prep for the Leger in the Autumn.

I had high hopes for this horse at the start of the season but on the face of it he has not ran well at all.I’m not going to desert him just yet.

His trainer has been in woeful form all year. However this week they had a double at Navan to bring them up to 5 winners for the year which is possibly a good sign they have got over any problems they must of had.

His rating is currently 147 and he was vying for Favouritism off 151 for this race last year.

Fine Rightly to win @ 33’s and come back to form in the Scotish National

25/1 Promise to be True E/W Irish 1000 Guineas
looks a bit of value. Even if running to her form in the Boussac last year puts her in with a decent shout here.

    Seventh Heaven E/W @ 12’s Coronation Cup

I think PP have made a mistake on this one. They have Postponed at 2/1 and Jack Hobbs at 5’s, i dont see Gosden running Jack Hobbs at Epsom on fast ground and even if he does my pick wont be too far behind on better ground. A knocking each way bet if running :good:

Irish Grand National Arbre De Vie £10 E/W 5 Places @ 20’s NRNB

Really like this horse for this race, and think it may of been a bit of a long term target.

Really good hurdles form last year running from 150.

Just 2 runs on Soft ground earlier in the year, before being stepped up dramatically to 4 miles in the NH chase at Cheltenham. He actually U/R on the flat 4 out there and looked to be still going well.

Headgear on the for the First time racing off 140

Lost – Brought down 2 races in succession now :negative: . He will win a good race for sure at some point

Classic Empire to win Kentucky Derby @ 9’s

Needed to finish in the Top 4 at last nights Arkansas Derby to qualify for Churchill Downs and won it well. The 9’s at WH wont last long, and with all the trials finished CE will start favourite barring injury.
