Mohaayed £10 win @ 11/2 BOG 1.40 Don
Probably going to be following him this year, and hoping he is a fair bit better than his current mark.
Romain De Senam £10 E/W @ 16’s BOG 1/4 odds 1.55
Taking a chance on 3 places here, really fancy him to finish ahead of those that finished in front of him in the BV on desperate ground. It was his best run over fences and off his highest mark yet.
Both lost – 30
December 16, 2017 at 17:40 #1332464Movewiththetimes £10 win @ 14’s To win any race[/quote]
Did the above bet this morning. Noticed he has been cut into 14’s by PP for the Novices h’cap on the first day after todays race. He was 33’s this morning.
Added another £10 win @ 20’s To win any race.
Killultagh Vic £10 win @ 20’s Any Race
Possibly that run today could get him into the race off top weight ( 145 ). Got a strong feeling he is being set up for Cheltenham this year, and he could end up in 4 or 5 races if they wanted to go back to hurdles.
Movewiththetimes £5 win @ 36.0 Close Brothers Novice Hcap
Also £15 win @ 25’s Baywing Welsh National

December 19, 2017 at 20:34 #1333077No doubt some more good horses will come out the woodwork before March for the Champion Hurdle.

December 24, 2017 at 07:11 #1333790Debuchet £25 win @ 20’s Supreme Hurdle
Very excited by this horse for Cheltenham and got a real good feeling about him for this year, hence the write up.
Ran second in this years Bumper to the outstanding Fayonagh with Claimantakinforgan, Next Destination,Western Ryder and a further 6 future winners behind. Possibly could be one of the best Bumpers ever run.
Yes, the winner was impressive in the way she won, but the second ran with great credit also. Certainly ran further than any other horse, going wide all the way and still on the bridle in the home straight. Ran straight to the line, with the winner flying past at the finish.
A big shame the winner is not around for a rematch come March

Supposedly had a setback but down to run over hurdles at Christmas, be very interesting to see how he runs.
December 24, 2017 at 09:46 #1333797Disko £15 win @ 25’s Gold Cup
Going to be an interesting week or so with these races in Ireland coming up. No doubt some of these AP bets will look better than they are now, and some will be in the bin.
Love that race which Our Duke won last year and Disko finished 3rd there just behind Coney Island. Put up a good performance last time giving weight to some fair horses. Up to 164 now which is the same as the likes of Yorkhill, and only 6 behind Sizing John.
Only a six year old and should have a bit more to come. Was between this one and Coney Island for an early bet on the race.

Should be NRNB coming up in the next few weeks, so holding out for that now.

L’ami Serge £15 win @ 16’s Stayer Hurdle
More convinced than ever that he can win this if running.
December 24, 2017 at 21:13 #1333885All those meetings on Boxing Day and have been struggling to find a bet.
Doeasyourdogbite £10 win @ 16’s BOG 3.40 KemptonRemembered backing him last year in this race and looked to be climbing the ladder quite quickly. Since then been all downhill for him. Jonjo’s only runner and 5 lb lower than winning it last year. Tried for the first time over hurdles in Cheekpieces.
Added another £5 win @ 16’s BOG
Lost – 15
December 26, 2017 at 12:34 #1334038Debuchet £10 win @ 33’s Supreme
Quite happy with his first run, trainer warned everyone he is just ready to start back and will improve a lot for the run. Think that was a hot little race today.
Disko £5 win @ 29.0 Gold CupDoubt very much we have seen an English winner for the Gold Cup out yet.
December 27, 2017 at 07:52 #1334252Road to Riches £5 EW @ 50’s BOG 6 places PP Chase

December 27, 2017 at 11:51 #1334292O Maonlai £25 win @ 16’s Mandarin Chase ( Sat )

N/R – 25
December 28, 2017 at 08:48 #1334440Glenloe £5 win @ 9’s 12.50
Lost – 5 That will do
Glenloe £15 win @ 33’s Pertemps Hurdle
Had my eye on him for sometime now and first time i have backed him.
At Punchestown last year he was nearly as big a non trier than Presenting Percy was. Needs to go up another 4 or 5 lbs to get into the race at Cheltenham. Backed him for today just in case today’s the day, but a top 7 finish will suffice.Coney Island £10 win @ 14’s Any Race
December 28, 2017 at 10:48 #1334451Dare To Endeavour £15 win @ 12’s BOG 1.40 Cork
Ran well for a long way in the Cork National, dropped 3 lbs for that run
and Jockey takes off another 5.
A strange old price that one
Lost – 15
December 29, 2017 at 17:05 #1334767That’s it for the year. Thank God for that

£ 500.00 Starting Bank
£ 2,454.64 End Bank
Lowest Bank – £95Profit – £1954.64
ROI – 390.8 %Enjoyed doing that and something to be really proud of on reflection. No idea how many races i bet on over the year but would have a guess at 200

Only had a bank on the go personally since October 2015 and never keep a record of my bets, just what’s in the bank really. Never read through it from start to finish so will do that over the next couple of days to see what i can learn from it. For sure there will be plenty of cringe worthy bets to have laugh at.
Got to put all these Ante Post bets together now ready for the 2018 journey
