I found the front page of today’s Daily Mirror very interesting.
Although it’s not taken very seriously over here, graphology is very respectable in France and, when I lived there, a friend taught me some stuff.
Not enough to do a proper analysis, just some characteristics I could look out for so I’d know which chicks were best avoided.
(to paraphrase Bill Hicks, I don’t want to sound shallow and single minded, but that’s the way I am so that’s the way it comes out….)
Over the few years that I’ve used it, I’ve found it fairly indicative.
A few of things I noticed in Tony’s writing:
The slashed dots on the i’s is a sign of irritability. Whatever the "cool Tony" persona we’re shown is just a cover up for the ranting psycho behind the mask.
Another obvious thing is the way he crosses his t’s (slanted downwards left to right). He’s a control freak.
And we wonder why we’ve got a "presidential" form of government where the cabinet are kept in the dark and the back benchers are too s**t
scared to step out of line.
The low crossing of the t’s is also a sign of low self-esteem, which isn’t something I would have thought about him.
Maybe that’s why he’s so much of a control freak???
What do I know, I’m a punter, not a shrink.
Oh, and Cherie’s not getting much, if you know what I mean….

April 6, 2005 at 17:30 #90865Steve, whilst I’m not knocking this science in any way, I could have guessed almost all of that just by watching the guy on tv.
Apart from the Cherie thing which, frankly, I never wanted to think about. Ever. So…thanks for that.
:(
April 6, 2005 at 18:48 #90866Never really set too much store by graphology Steve, but your analysis seems pretty good.
Re. the Cherie thing, perhaps she doesn’t like Tony always wanting the "third way"!

I used to think it was bulls**t
, like palmistry or astrology. However, I’m now convinced that it can be quite accurate.
As Zoz said, we knew most of those things about Blair anyway, but I think it’s interesting that they were the most striking things about his handwriting.
As for the low sex drive thing, it’s just something I’m conditioned to look for first.
I was once on a date with these 2 chicks and they both had that.
I got my coat….

November 10, 2005 at 19:38 #94938Like the little boy who cried "Wolf!", the odious little creep that we have for a Prime Minister was believed the first time round but now, thankfully, Parliament has sussed him out. I suspect he is a secret admirer of the US concentration camp at Guantamano Bay and would dearly love to set up a UK equivalent, if only he could. He certainly hasn’t lifted a finger to obtain the release of any UK citizen detained there.
What depresses me more than anything is the result of an opinion poll which suggests that over 75% of the British public are quite content for this fascist government to sleepwalk them into a police state.
Are we really that stupid?
November 10, 2005 at 20:03 #94939Questionnaire on behalf of the Sun newspaper:
Please choose one of the following:
A. Do you think that the police should be given as much time as they want to gather evidence about terrorist suspects?
B. Do you think terrorist suspects should be allowed to walk free because the police run out of time to gather evidence?
For once, the back bench Labour MPs have had the guts to stand up for principle rather than populism. Judging by some of the comments made in the debate, Blair will struggle to get his education reforms through. As a PM, he is pretty much finished and I expect him to go sooner rather than later. The option of hanging on and toning down all his legislation just to survive is not one I see him taking, unless he really does hate Gordon that much.
November 10, 2005 at 21:37 #94943Highflyer has beaten me to it.
He (Blair, not Highflyer) is the boy that cried wolf. He’s been playing his "you’ve got to trust me" card when he shouldn’t and it doesn’t work very well any more.
As far as I can tell Blair is claiming that the police have a watertight argument for the 90 day rule.
In which case, rather than blaming the other MPs, Blair should be trying to explain why he made such an arse of presenting the case that he was defeated by his own party.
And perhaps the conculsion that he should draw is that he’s been so untrustworthy (particularly in the area of terrorist threats) that he’s become a danger to our national security.
And, if he is truly committed to putting the security of the country first (ahead of his own career and ego), he should quit and let someone more credible take over.

November 10, 2005 at 22:01 #94944Lessons of history, as recently illustrated by Guantanamo Bay and, more locally, Northern Ireland, indicate that internment does not work. It may serve to perhaps stop an isolated terrorist atrocity but the true cost in the longer term is the creation of an even greater hatred and mistrust of our country and government. This, inevitably, results in a greater toll of the innocent lives Blair claims to be so eager to protect.
The answer is, of course, to open a meaningful dialogue and begin to address the key issues which lie at the heart of current global disquiet.
I agree wholeheartedly with what stevedg has to say regarding Blair.
November 10, 2005 at 22:41 #94946There’s an Australian victim of July 7 very unhappy to find himself on the front page of The Sun, with the paper putting words in his mouth in support of Blair:

August 2, 2006 at 14:40 #102006Where is the "all of the above" option ?
If you tick "other" do you have to quote what "other" you’re opting for ?
August 2, 2006 at 14:49 #102008Could I ask the moderator to remove the option T**y from the poll. I for one find such language deeply offensive and it has no place on an otherwise civilised forum.
Infact I’ll write to my MP about it.
August 2, 2006 at 14:58 #102010I hope you’re not insinuating that Tony Blair is worthy of being compared to the above!
To be honest, I don’t really think a word has yet been invented for the ****
****
.Though let’s look at the bright side. After the party thrown on Maggie Thatcher’s death (hurry up and die you fu<king whore of babylon), Tony Blair’s death will bring about the greatest party this country’s ever seen.
August 2, 2006 at 15:22 #102011And GH oblected to my use of "towelhead" for Islamic extremists!
August 2, 2006 at 16:05 #102014Yep GH – something we can agree on at last!
August 2, 2006 at 21:26 #102016I’ve gone for baw-bag .. one of my favourite insults atm
August 3, 2006 at 19:46 #102018You’d have made it easier if you’d of said what isn’t he?
August 4, 2006 at 19:31 #102020He wants to curse us with ID cards in the next labour manifesto the ******* Rat.
