Those last two winners means I’m now operating at a win rate of 63%. To a pound level stake, the thread is +15.86. Will try and keep posting one a day and will try to get some value where I can.
February 16, 2010 at 09:55 #277051Not much to go at today especially with Folkestone abandoned, but
Sammy Spiderman
at Newcastle (4.10) is at least proven in the conditions and stays well and may be worth a bet at around 7/2. After running well at the track for the first time last month, finishing only a few lengths behind course specialist It’steescomponents, he is now only 3lb higher but did run well in defeat at Hexham off a mark of 109 in December. Despite the fact he is 9lb higher from his last winning mark he seems to be quite progressive and adores testing conditions like today and stays 3m. Up against mainly some exposed older horses, although in-form Treehouse is a threat but is also upped in weights. Sammy Spiderman gets the vote.
February 17, 2010 at 13:12 #277346As originally advised earlier in this thread when the Sedgefield meeting was abandoned, I’m keeping faith that
Stetson
can do the business in the bumper at the first time of asking, although the odds of 8/11 was a little shorter than expected.
February 18, 2010 at 14:30 #277586Stetson just got beat by a better horse unfortunately but should win NTO with that experience under his belt.
Today I’m going for
War Footing
at Ffos Las, although still a maiden, has been knocking on the door of late and some value to be had at 12/1.
February 23, 2010 at 20:00 #278664Two good jumps cards tomorrow and I find
Marodima
very interesting in the 3.30 at Ludlow.
Mark is dropping all the time and will find this race much easier than the previous ones hes contested, the flatter track will suit and looks a solid eachway bet at around 10/1.
February 24, 2010 at 16:55 #278844Not one to blow my own trumpet again but that’s a good bit of tipping if I say so myself, glad the horse has had a win as he was very decent 2 or 3 years ago.
February 24, 2010 at 19:27 #278866Tomorrow I’m liking
Lap of Honour
, who can use his hurdling form to his avantage over the newcomers to the game. If the forecast good ground remains at Ayr I feel the horse will take all the beating as he stayed on well last time, and his best flat form comes on a sound surface. 5/1 looks ok value, would’ve preferred slightly higher odds given the number of runners though.
February 24, 2010 at 20:09 #278876Yeah good call mate with Marodima!
Rebecca Curtis is a trainer I’m beginning to have a lot of respect for, both as a trainer and as eye candy aswell..
February 24, 2010 at 20:40 #278889Can’t say I’ve ever seen her, would you have a picture? I know she’s Welsh though with commands a lot of respect
February 25, 2010 at 18:01 #279095Good card tomorrow at Warwick and I expect leading course trainer Alan King to farm the first-half, and NTD to dominate the rest.
NTD is a master at bringing horses back after a long break; he has this uncanny knack of getting them primed at home and ready to race, therefore I like
Naunton Brook
in the 3m5f. A course winner, 10lb lower than his last winning mark and has the very promising STD on board taking a further 7lb off, he looks sure to go well at a price.
