I think that he can do the double, but I don’t know if I would put my money where my mouth is.

I’m not off to a good start though with Cloudy Glen, so I need to wait now. I’m looking at Deise Aba and Switch Hitter now, but perhaps it would make sense for me to wait for the confirmed runners

Kitty’s Light couldn’t win this after a 3 week break from the Scottish National last season when favourite, no obvious reason to think he can after 1 week. Nothing is impossible of course but my brain isn’t allowing this to be a reality. I was happy to collect off of him last week, will give him the swerve this time if he runs.

Worth noting there is no penalty for winning the Scottish National for Kittys. I think if the ground is decent and obviously assuming the horse is ok they will definitely come here the prize moneys too good to ignore. They ran Cap Du Nord at Ascot and Kempton one week apart and I’m sure he quoted the prize money as the reason.

I’ll prob plump for Switch Hitter but i feel he needs good ground, so will wait til Friday, in case weather deteriorates.
My old fav, Frodon, running over 3m 4f, seems too far for him these days – but he’ll go a good gallop as Switch Hitter’s pacemaker (possibly  )

“Racing doesn’t help itself at times. How hard is it for a horse recorded as deceased to be taken out of all races it is publicised as being entered for, immediately?”

The bookies at it too.. More than one still have all of my Mighty Potters bets as “Open” cant find the cash out option though.

I’d play the Goffer if he turns up and a decent price
Enrilo another option, seems to like the course

Captain Cattistock each way for me

Proven stamina, he’s won every March / April of his career and the weight will be a godsend

I will be backing Tea Clipper if he runs here. The form of the race he ran in at Cheltenham has worked out quite well.

Tea Clipper, like Energumene, is a former Larkhill Point-to-Point winner.

What is it with these Pipe horses in those particular silks rocking up in every premier handicap they can get in from 2 stone out of the handicap? Surely there are winnable races for them in 0-120s etc

On another note I can see The Goffer pushing Kittys for favouritism here given what Corach and Fastorslow did for the Ultima form. I wouldn’t say he can’t win but they will have to ride him to get the trip as he didnt get home in the Ultima over shorter.

I’d be about as sure as I can be after a lifetime of punting that Certainly Red will win this. Will post my workings later, but just to be sure you take the 12s now!

I’ve plumped for Moroder 14s and Court Master 33s (both BOG).

Best of luck to all :good:
