If you guys told these jokes at my local comedy club i chuck Apples at you guys not funny at all.

ST Nicholas Abbey. The next Derby winner
You remind me of Tony Blair Darren……you watch where the crowd is going the say "Follow me"….a very good judge on here and his mates backed Saint NA before you knew he existed………..too many of us backed the horse at 25/1 and one member got 28/1 cos he’s smarter than all of them
so don’t be a smart ass and try and tell your granny how to suck eggs…your a comparitive novice and shall remain so until you prove you belong where you think you are……understand?September 26, 2009 at 22:59 #250258A quick look down O’Briens Beresford stakes winners should show you in what regard he holds the race and indeed the horses he runs in it.
Five Dynasties, Albert Hall, Eagle Mountain, Masterofthehorse? Am I being dense here or is Septimus his only top class runner in the Beresford since it became a Group 2?
September 26, 2009 at 23:07 #250262Hmm….True AOB hasnt run Top Class horses in the race but i think Trends can be ruled out in every Irish Group 1/2 this year due to the Ground.
I think he win tomoro pretty easily….and has the "Talk" of a very interesting horse.
He has a serious amount of opposition in the 2yr olds division considering Fighting Brave etc are all still to come out.
September 26, 2009 at 23:19 #250267Fist,
Darren is one of the very, very good guys on here.
He got me on to Kingsfort, and made me do a profile of him, and a few days later when someone mentioned Kingsfort to you, you said that you had never heard of him (just like me).
So don’t go accusing Darren of being a bandwagon jumper-oner of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He initiates stuff, which is the same reason why TAPK likes me. (Mad fool.)
(Okay, I like him as well. But drop all that Albertas Run stuff.)

When I saw Darren post here this morning, in the Big Races section, I thought this should be fun when Darren comes up against Fist, and it ain’t.
What is his offence?
He likes St Nicholas Abbey bigtime
and
he is a newcomer.
You don’t like it when other people like the same horses as you do?
September 27, 2009 at 00:44 #250282Darren was one of the first people to mention St Nicholas Abbey, the day after his debut, on Page 2 of the 18 page 2yo Summary Thread, when there hadn’t been a post on that thread for 5 days.
It was Darren who brought that thread to life, and it is the best thread this year.

I’m hoping Awzaan runs in the Middle Park as he’ll keep Artic from dropping too much in price. I could get 9/2 Artic just now which is biting the hand off me but haven’t seen any confirmation…is there something on the net to back up he runs Wallace?
September 27, 2009 at 01:07 #250287I’ve seen something else as well. I’ll go look for it.
Awzaan set for Middle Park after Mill Reef win By David Lawrence3.46PM 20 SEP 2009
AWZAAN, the impressive winner of the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury on Saturday, now looks set, if owner-breeder Hamdan Al Maktoum is agreeable, to bid for a follow-up in the Shadwell Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket on October 2.
The son of Alhaarth is a general 16-1 for the Stanjames.com 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket next year after stretching his unbeaten record to three at Newbury.
Trainer Mark Johnston said: "The Middle Park was the race we intended to target after Awzaan won at the July meeting, but I informed Sheikh Hamdan he was looking as if he needed another race, as he was starting to put on a lot of weight at home.
"It was then that the decision was made to go for the Mill Reef and, as he’s come out of that in great form, it will now be up to Sheikh Hamdan to decide whether he goes on to the Middle Park, as was the original intention."
He added: "As far as I’m concerned, there’s no reason why he should not, though, and, as we were very pleased with his win on Saturday, it seems a logical step."
September 27, 2009 at 01:11 #250288Fist i get my Irish Field…
Okay she said he a defo runner,,,,
Quote " Hes owned by Richard Pegum who had breeders cup winner Muhannak last year, but i dont know if we will be going there with him. We’ll Crawl before we walk and get the middle park out of the way first"..

Show on Awzaan’s case
John Gosden has confirmed Showcasing to be still on course for a mouthwatering clash with Awzaan in the Shadwell Middle Park Stakes a week on Friday.
Mark Johnston’s Awzaan is set to head to Newmarket for the Group One race after he powered away with Saturday’s Mill Reef at Newbury, while Showcasing was similarly impressive in the Gimcrack Stakes at York in August.
Gosden said: "Showcasing is in good form and heading for the Middle Park, as he has been since the Gimcrack."

September 27, 2009 at 01:18 #250292This is bit of a weird one. He is saying the horse will stay a mile (in time) and then in a no-commital way saying that the horse is still going for the Middle Park:-
Johnston quashes Awzaan stamina doubts
Mark Johnston is confident Awzaan will have no problem staying a mile next season following his hugely impressive triumph in the Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury.
The juvenile stretched his unbeaten record to three when showing an excellent turn of foot to take the Group Two prize over six furlongs, leaving some believing he would struggle to step up in distance.
His trainer is certainly not in that camp though and said: "He’s come out of the race A1 and you would have to hope there will be significant improvement to come as he had a long time off and we knew he was quite heavy beforehand."
He added: "Before the race last week the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket (October 2) was looking his most likely next target and there have been no further discussions since.
"It seems highly unlikely to me that a mile will be too far from him as a three-year-old considering he is by Alhaarth, so it’s very exciting."

Good man Gerald. Had forgotten about those endless threads discussing the limitless scope and potential of Albertas Run! Only a few weeks I’d say till he resumes banging that drum again.
What price for the King George and Gold Cup your majesty?

I am going to have to stick to my Irish National selection in Senior, I think he’s been vastly undermined by many who travelled so well in his last race will love the mile and further next year.
Reiteration (spelling?) is a massive danger, could be anything.

Can add Turnberry Isle, Bernstein and Lermontov to the list of runners he’s had in the race. My point is that he doesn’t run his best horses in it – very often second or third tier 2yo colts and it’s been that way for quite some time.
Not saying SNA won’t win tomorrow – I think he will but don’t expect him to go on and demolish all before him at 3 or even later in the season at Doncaster or wherever else he may go.
September 27, 2009 at 13:24 #250359Thevery same stat could have been thrown at Fame And Glory forrunning in the 1m2f group 1 in France last year. Ballydoyle have tons of stay horses these days – trends are open to be changed. They have run the likes of Septimus and Brian Boru in this.
