I notice in today’s RP that the aforementioned who part owns yesterdays big winner at Warwick, One For Arthur, is also a steward at “Kelso, Musselburgh and Ayr among tracks…”

The horse has run at Ayr and Kelso nine times. Are there are any rules that prevent stewarding a race when one’s own horse is a runner?

Not a topic to meltdown over, just an inquiry…

I’m not sure about the English Rules, but I have been a Steward (in Denmark) on occasions where a permanent Steward, owned a horse in the field as well as for a permanent Steward, who was an Amateur Trainer with a Starter in the specific race. Many, most, of the Rules in other Racing Nations are very close to those of The Jockey Club (is it BHA now?).
Curious to see if anyone knows?

    Best Wishes
