Was watching this live and could not quite believe it; have never seen this before, even by the most beer-fuelled crowd.

    This really doesn’t surprise me.

My trips to the races on Saturdays are becoming increasingly rare – a Tour Of Duty would be safer.

I couldn’t not go to Champions Day at Ascot (half an hour from me) last October, but the walk from the track to the car park was like straying into a Theatre Of War.

A Day At The Races either side of the Irish Sea has changed.

I’m not a bloke for judging too much, but whoever threw that is thick as a castle wall.

Seems to have come from 4 or 5 booted and suited men, Irish equivalent of yuppies?

Very disappointed to see that on an Irish racecourse. In my experience, Irish crowds tend to be better than British crowds, including at the weekend.

As it was a public holiday, I would hope it was not someone who was a regular racegoer. I find it difficult to believe anyone who has a proper interest in racing would behave that way.

I seem to recall a drink being thrown from the in-field at Epsom one day many years ago.
