Winning the grade one challow hard held is eye catching enough to me!
And I’d say a 5yo is probably still a bit babyish as well. Which might even explain the jumping to the right a bit.
Good horse Gaelic warrior but jumping the way it does against top class opposition is a huge hindrance.
February 10, 2023 at 05:11 #1634793American Mike takes his prep run over 2 miles on Sunday just to get him ready. I still have a 5-1 ticket from a good while ago.
IEP may be the pick of the Mullins ones for this if he goes. Trainer talks him up as a top notcher.
February 10, 2023 at 10:20 #1634801Hard to say for me Tiz, he’s won well but whether the form will stand up to much is difficult to say. Impaire Et Passes did it more impressively to the eye, but again, his form hasn’t been tested enough.
The DRF G1 was basically a winners of one- stolen from RP Analysis but i agree. Still though, i’d say Good Lands a good one, and the trainer has another good one so he has half a clue on their levels this year.Twitter: Jackh1092
Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 10, 2023 at 12:06 #1634809Grey Dawning is the interesting horse, imo. The last two British-trained winners of the Ballymore – The New One and Willoughby Court – both won the Leamington Hurdle.
Don’t know if Grey Dawning is going for this race or rather the Albert Bartlett, but his form is pretty solid for a home-trained horse.
The form of the race he won at Exeter also worked out very well, with the 2nd and 3rd placed horses winning next time out.
February 11, 2023 at 23:18 #1635124I’ve finally given up on Grangeclare West so looking for another and have put my faith in American Mike to get back on track. I’ve gone for the 20s plain antepost rather than NRNB. Most of his rivals are running for a mark tomorrow so hopefully he can win despite the short trip.
February 12, 2023 at 00:43 #1635145Mikes mark would be handy should he fade away at a trip that doesnt suit … ill be place laying him i think
Same as DW in the boyne, pointless run, there not seriously running either to win, are they? Gordon rattles on about getting horses fit at home i dont see why either are running
February 12, 2023 at 10:55 #1635175Ham,
Didn’t Tiger Roll win or place at big odds in one of these races, like DW is in?Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
February 12, 2023 at 14:16 #1635205He did nath but he hadnt ran since november due to an injury, so it made sense to get an easy spin in, DW ran 2 weeks ago in a very hard race
ittl be training in a race today out the back
February 14, 2023 at 21:56 #1635478Added Attacca 40/1 NRNB. Was impressed with his win at Cheltenham. He is running over 2m4f at Ascot this weekend. If he wins there, then this surely must be the aim.
February 15, 2023 at 20:05 #1635591Just reading up on this on the ATR app.
The challow form is absolutely red hot now. 4 next time out winners. 1 of which was the Sidney banks winner who finished nearly 40 lengths behind Hermes Allen.
I’ve said previously that he’s going to be my main bet of the week and I’m reinforced by that notion even more so now.
Surely Britains novice hurdlers aren’t THAT far behind the Irish that they have something that can come and do him!
He could of won by 3x the distance that day if Cobden wanted to as well!
February 15, 2023 at 20:09 #1635592Gaelic Warrior won 88 lengths. Could have won 500 lengths if Townend had kicked him in the belly

February 15, 2023 at 20:20 #1635593Nathan please tell me you’re not trying to make winning a maiden hurdle at Tramore comparable with winning the Challow??
Please. For the love of god.
I don’t think I can comprehend quite how stupid a comment that is!
February 15, 2023 at 20:24 #1635594I suspect Nathan’s tongue was in his cheek.
Anyway, I’ve got 4/1 Hermes and 9/1 Gaelic so as long as one of them wins it, I’m in hob nobs until Easter (and beyond!).

February 15, 2023 at 20:32 #1635599And who would you rather have on your side in a battle up the run in, a Gaelic Warrior or a bloke called Alan who not only can’t spell his own name correctly but sells fashion accessories for a living?

The 5th horse won a listed race next time out.
Christ even horses who were pulled up in the race have scooted in next time.
Why is anyone trying to crab the form?
Gaelic warrior jumps horribly out to his right and was beaten by Brazil last year when supposedly about 8 stone well in!
February 15, 2023 at 21:11 #1635608Fortunately, your Uncle Chezza doesn’t get emotional about these things and is able to clear it all up.
Rather annoyingly, Il Etait Temps would enter the picture on his latest victory, but he hopefully runs in the Supreme instead.
Hermes Allen – who Chezza saw win at Stratford btw – was undeniably impressive at Newbury, but that was on Soft ground and Chezza’s not certain the horse would quite as good on a quicker surface.
Gaelic Warrior is a completely different horse to the one that ran at Cheltenham last March.
He was beaten off 129 and the other day he hosed up off an Irish (worth an extra 10lb?) mark of 143.
Chezza’s only worry is the horse has been exclusively campaigned at 2m – why?
