Andy Dufresne was very impressive in his debut last weekend. Blue Sari is entered for a Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown on Saturday. Got close enough to Envoi Allen in last seasons Bumper.
November 12, 2019 at 16:38 #1474667ANDY DUFRESNE for me. Looked the real deal was jumping like a pro. Like someone said on the SUPREME NOVICE HURDLE thread, I think ENVOI ALLEN will go to that as Elliot has suggested he has the speed for 2 miles
November 13, 2019 at 00:10 #1474687Took the 25’s for Andy Dufresne at the weekend, but haven’t forgotten about Midnight Run for this, and he’s another I would be considering.
November 13, 2019 at 12:10 #1474708Envoi allen for me
tailor made for this race
He looks a monster and can see plenty of horses avoiding him
Everything he did in bumpers looked a bonus and should improve for the step up in trip, he looked outpaced at stages in most of his races last season but won anyway
Jumping was superb on debut and we already know he has a serious engine
Have him in a few trixies at 7/1 or 8/1
November 13, 2019 at 17:50 #1474732Put up ANDY DUFRENSE for race in my thread on him at 25s think he real deal he is
November 16, 2019 at 07:34 #1475060Added Blue Sari 20-1.
November 16, 2019 at 15:49 #1475147Any thoughts on Blue Sari? I suppose it was satisfactory enough but it looked a bit underwhelming after what Envoi Allen and Andy Dusfrene did on their hurdling debuts. It might have been interesting if the other horse had not hung across the track.
November 16, 2019 at 16:39 #1475161The mullins camp keep saying hes a stayer, but i personally after today thought he could be doing with coming back and trying him at 2m, it could be a pretty hot race today in all fairness though there was some nice types in there
Impossible to desert him with how envoi allen and thyme hill have ran, the engine is in there, just think the trip is questionable for now, seasonal reappearence obviously so could come on a tonne but he looked ok? Anyone trackside able to comment on his conditioning?
November 16, 2019 at 17:11 #1475168Agree Ham over shorter next! Not sure on conditioning tbh!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 17, 2019 at 05:08 #1475189If I had to guess I think JPs horses will be aimed at these races. Bit of a puzzle
Supreme- ANDY DEFRENSE
BALLYMORE- BLUE SARI & DLAURO
ALBERT B- CHANTRY HOUSEAs soon as Mullins said he thinks BLUE SARI is more of a staying type. I assume he must have a AEROPLANE for the supreme and my guess it is FLY SMART. He doesn’t want to run his best novices against eachother.
Good luck all
November 17, 2019 at 17:14 #1475231I disagree i think they will keep ENVOI ALLEN in the supreme and have ANDY DUFRESNE at the ballymore
November 17, 2019 at 17:49 #1475238Different owners though ray, JP will likely split up his two
So if blue sari is a stayer as Mullins has said the supreme will likely be andy dusfrenes target
Obviously a lot of water to go under the bridge before then
Bit of an ante post minefield atm in the supreme and ballymore
November 17, 2019 at 19:39 #1475245Envoi Allen going 2 miles and Andy Dufresne going 2 and a half miles next races Elliott said today.
November 17, 2019 at 19:39 #1475246Finally bet Midnight Run today at 25’s.
Happy with his run at Cork, but obviously a long way to go, so haven’t went mad.
I’ll have a bigger punt after NRNB comes in.
November 17, 2019 at 21:09 #1475251EA will go here, I hope so at least. Gordon has said that’s the plan right from the word go and he (unlike Mullins) tends to stick to it. The absence of Malone Road in the supreme doesn’t mean they suddenly switch, no idea why people assume this. I’m sure he has the speed for a supreme the same way I’m sure he’d have the stamina for an Albert Bartlett, but that doesn’t mean those races suit him best.
November 17, 2019 at 22:13 #1475255MIDNIGHT RUN ran a solid race today. Giving weight away to the mare COOLREVY aswell. I would go as far to say thats probably the best result in regards to who a horse has beaten in these novice hurdles so far this season.
For me, CHARLIE87 i understand what your saying i just feel that ANDY DUFRESNE looked more the Ballymore type, Im happy either way though! Ive had both Envoi & Andy in Ballymore and Supreme doubles both way round
November 18, 2019 at 14:00 #1475284It’s very early in the season and a few good ones are still to come out but with Malone Road out for the season i can’t see why, as both an owner & trainer, would you want to take on Andy Dufresne when the two milers don’t look up to much.
EA looks to have that perfect balance of speed & stamina for a Supreme IMO. I’ve went in on him for that at 8s and AD for this at 12s.
Midnight Run i liked a lot the other day, but i’m keeping my money away from him until i see one of the others get their bubble burst.
