We won’t get rich any time fast backing evens favourites, but if anyones partial to a cheeky double up, or wants a horse for multiples this Hard Iron (10/11) should be around 1/2 imo. Won very easily last time and drew away once the jockey actually asked a question of the horse after the last (and I think the one it beat into second is a good horse for the grade too – with the pair of them a good distance clear of the rest).
Hard Iron, the selection, was a proper handicap fix it job when winning last time out with it evidently not being fit in any of its previous runs, it then won on handicap debut off a lowly mark of 84. Only up 7lbs for that success a couple of weeks ago the horse will be fully fit and the trainer is in absolutely flying form which is essential this time of year. The horse also runs over the same course and distance as it’s handicap fix it win. He attacks his hurdles nicely and confidently and the jockey rode him LTO as though he knew he was a good thing, that to me is a massive pointer in itself that they know they have a very well handicapped horse on their hands, this one really does tick the boxes!

eassssy money, another good confident ride from the jockey, travelled the best, jumped nicely attacking his hurdles and drew away at the end when push came to shove.
Great stuff Ben, it would have gone nicely with Fortescue in the soul selection. I hope you had a few bob on.
