BROTHER TIGER, one place behind Random Success over C&D on his reappearance, was this time allowed to dominate through modest early fractions and was always holding on. Everything went his way, but this was only his 11th start. The final time was 0.43secs quicker than the second division, but they went a steadier early pace in this race. Both winners made all, and here are Brother Tiger´s splits with Clearing´s sectionals in brackets: 14.14 (13.92), 11.18 (11.05), 10.73 (10.63), 10.60 (10.90), 11.25 (11.83).

ARCTIC LYNX, who had won a couple of claimers this winter, was always well positioned near the pace and stayed on strongly to record his first handicap win since July 2013. Things did pan out well for him here and he is not certain to back this up, but he was rated 82 at his best last year and should be able to strike again off a revised mark.Malaysian Boleh:

18Dec14 Kem 7St C5Hc 3K 10/12 (7¼L, Jungle Bay9-6) 8/1 46Malaysian Boleh hit a personal best RPR of 82 when winning a 7f Lingfield claimer on his final run for Simon Dow last time. A drop back to 5f was a concern and he took a while to pick up before finishing well to go close off a career-high mark. This was a big run over a trip sharper than ideal and he could be a major force back up in distance.

STELLARTA, back from a break following a slightly disappointing run here last time, had a nice trip and picked up well to run down the long-time leader well inside the last. This was more like it, and she clearly thrives off a good gallop.Oriental Relation:
