QUANTUM DOT came into this 0-16 but he showed plenty of boot over 6f at Lingfield last time, and from a good draw he broke well, grabbed the lead and made every yard. At least he´s found his ideal conditions now.

GLORIOUS DANCER got on top nearing the business end and opened his account. He hadn´t shown his best over 7f the last twice and the extra furlong helped. The colt was better away in first-time cheekpieces too and has scope to rate a little higher yet.

Plaisir shaped very much as though 1m would help in three previous maidens. Front-running tactics just exposed her stamina on this more galloping circuit, but she has kicked off in handicaps on a fair mark.

RP course notes.
DECLAMATION, returning from a break off a career-low mark, was well supported. He got a good early position from his wide draw and, despite racing keenly, took advantage of the steady early gallop by kicking first on the bend. That proved the difference. Regarding the improvement in form, the trainer´s representative stated that the gelding had appreciated the drop in class and had responded well to treatment on his back since his most recent run, and had benefited from a change in his work regime at home which resulted in him being a far more settled horse.

RP Course notes:
STREET FORCE came into this 0-12, but he ran much better on his second start for the yard when a staying-on third behind Ace Master in a 0-85 handicap over 6f here five days earlier. Always handy, he swept to the front after turning in and bolted right away, but although the handicapper will have something to say, it would be no surprise to see him find further improvement for his new stable.

KATIE GALE, who won easily over this C&D on her only start last year, bounced back from a disappointing effort over 1m4f here last time, winning with plenty to spare. Lightly raced for a 5yo, there should be a good deal more to come from her.
QUOTES Katie Gale would probably have won last time if she hadn´t run so keenly. I dread to think what the handicapper will do to her now – Mick Apppleby, trainer.

MINDUROWNBUSINESS stepped up on his debut effort for the yard, travelling well just in behind the leaders and quickening decisively early in the straight. The race couldn´t have been set up much better for him, though. His trainer mentioned the Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton as possibly his next race.Sovereign Debt:

He hadn´t run since October 2013 so is fully entitled to come on for this, and he clearly retains his ability. He was runner-up in the Lockinge two years ago, and off this mark he could be of some interest in the Lincoln, for which he´s 33-1 with a few firms.

MIGNOLINO, down in class and making his AW debut after an absence of 181 days, had the blinkers back on. Held up in midfield, he was having to be pushed along turning in, but found a nice turn of foot to run down the second horse around 50yds from the line. Thought good enough to contest the Norfolk Stakes at two, he looks just the type to do well in competitive 3yo handicaps this season back on the grassMike.

GENTLEMUSIC, trying this far for the first time on her handicap debut, enjoyed a lovely tow up the inner before quickening best over 1f out to follow-up her maiden success. The step up to this trip for the first time has suited and she looks the type to progress further.QUOTES Gentlemusic did a few nice bits of work last year and is a filly Marco has always liked. The step up in trip has helped her – Martin Harley, rider.

GUNG HO JACK, bidding for a hat-trick and under a penalty for his win over CD two days earlier, had the outside stall to contend with but he was soon able to get across and hold a handy position and, when asked to go and win his race, quickened up nicely. He is at the top of his game, but will have to take on better company now.Mike.
