I will be able to retire next year if I want to and be able to give more time to the people and things I enjoy in life, looking forward to that.
January 25, 2020 at 18:24 #1480830It has been said that only when you are retired Michael you ever wonder how you found time to go to work.
The truth be told, it is the time when you start to slow down and therefore you simply are not quick enough to fit all you want to do in the time available.

January 25, 2020 at 23:18 #1480858Hello again you cuddly little Funnel Web, I hope your fast asleep now, with your head resting on a nice feather pillow and gently curled up sucking your thumb…. thumb Bill, thumb…..
I just thought it a little bit interesting that I transferred the systematic method for the Aussie races to the UK and it appears to be a flash of magic…. superb results that can only be utter dangly bits, nothing can be that good, but it is exciting seeing a 27pts profit in the last 3 days…. as I said…. danglies.
But it makes an interesting topic to look at and study when your confined to your bedroom because the heating’s buggered. If I’ve told Matron once, I’ve told him a hundred times to get that old boiler fixed…. but he must think that I’m referring to Nathan because, every time I complain, Nathan leaves his office with a sticking plaster on his botty and a smile on his face…. but I still remain cold…. gotta be crossed wires…
But, back to the UK racing using the Aussie system…. yeah, it looks pretty promising and it’s something to keep an eye on most definitely…. could it really be that an Aussie system can jump to the other side of the world… I will enjoy keeping an eye on that…. dunno yet, but I might start posting them, I’ll see what the next few days bring, but I have invested some of my money into Tena Pads because I appear to be wetting myself quite a lot…. must try and control my excitement….

January 26, 2020 at 08:23 #1480867G’day, G’day, G’day to you MrE and everybody.
I have just got out of bed, well it is Sunday and even us “old’s” have a lay in sometimes and now I need my oats, porage that is.
Then get the TV on to see how the boys are doing in Sth. Africa where that fine young Ben Stokes stuck it up some 4 eyed boar.
What a day today, I even have to have a shower because we are having a pub lunch to celebrate Daphne’s birthday on Tuesday – 77 – who remembers Sunset Strip?
Then the day starts badly with a basin full of Kanga crap making a dent in my profit!!!!
Good idea MrE regarding the transfer to the UK after all a good idea is a good idea and maybe a tinker here or there and it could be a winner. I did try and think I posted in this thread but what I did was rubbish but maybe the ground was heavy? Perhaps you avoided NH in favour of the AW?
Anyway, busy, busy, busy, must dash, toodle-loo.

January 26, 2020 at 10:00 #1480870Yeah, I’ll join you, my day was crap too with all 4 of my selections going down…. I KNEW it was going to happen, I could feel it in my water, but I was rather hoping that it would happen on a day when I had one or two running, instead, lay luck decided to wait until I had a full 4 going, before putting the squeeze on my nether regions. I’m sore, but I’ll have to take a risk and pop over to see Matron, she might have some sort of soothing balm….

January 26, 2020 at 10:31 #1480873Saturday’s cards have almost wiped my monthly profit out and I believe Monday is a Public Holiday due to AUSTRALIA DAY and so I am considering my position – should I look or should I give the day a miss?

January 26, 2020 at 11:16 #1480874Heavy ground conditions at 2 meetings and then other factors were in my favour leaving me with just the one selection and so the decision to bet or not to bet was not a problem.

Race 4 Bunbury… Husstarr @ 3.00…. LOST….
Race 7 Bunbury… Solid Azza @ 3.50…. LOST….We’ve already made our profit for the month and that money is safe, the rest of the month is just “playtime”…. so perhaps we can look at a wet and dismal day in the UK to keep our interest piqued…. or not….

January 26, 2020 at 12:22 #1480887Perhaps I am being too cautious today having given them [the bookies] back all the money they loaned to me I had to check why I missed HUSSTAR but was reassured because it was a joint favourite at the time I checked.
I also found AIM for PERFECTION & QUEEN of ROCKS

Good luck with ASK PADDY, for myself I am quite content to wait for the Flat season proper but I shall watch with much interest MrE.

January 26, 2020 at 13:23 #1480897It’s just a little play my Honeysuckle…. a wet miserable Sunday and I thought that it might cheer me up no end…. it could possibly, have the opposite effect.
Have you seen Wurzel Gummidge lately???…. I’m think that Matron’s abducted him and has him handcuffed to her bed…. I think I made a grave error of judgement when I gave Matron those books for Christmas…. “50 Shades” was just too much for the old biddy, I hope she doesn’t keel over, there’s nobody around to cut Wurzel loose….

January 26, 2020 at 14:41 #1480912Oh!!… it’s really great to know that your free of Matron’s clutches, we thought that you had gone, Missing In Action. It was mooted that you give body and soul for this forum and after noting that a tub of haemorroidal cream had gone missing from Matron’s stash, I thought your number was up… I understand the body and soul bit and I know how willingly you give your body, but perhaps the “soul” bit was a typing error and it should have said “sole”, because, in your case that could be preceeded by the arse….
Nevertheless, it’s good to see you free again… I knew that someday that spare key that I gave you would allow escaping from the handcuffs a likely way out, but I still remain puzzled…. when Matron captured you and marched you off, you were naked and that wasn’t a pretty sight, I think you need ironing to get the creases out, but as naked as a porn star…. so just where exactly, did you hide that key….

January 26, 2020 at 16:04 #1480923I’ve tightened the wheels, oiled the chain, pumped up the tires and evicted a family of roos living in the back. That lightened the weight so hopefully it will run more smoothly, especially on those uphill days.

I have been unable to find a selection at the Wolverhampton meeting tomorrow and so inspired by MrE‘s UK adaption of his Aussie Rules I thought I would try again but this time keeping to the AW as an alternative.
I have switched from the ATR to the Racing Post, if only for one day: –
XIAN EXPRESS – 5.00 Wolverhampton, as yet I have not taken a price
I have taken 5/4 this morning but waiting for BOG has cost me dear, I think there was some 2/1 last evening
