Billy my mate…. I will probably make this my last posting using the Aussie selections, it just doesn’t seem right that I use your thread and select different horses to you…. it then becomes competition and I don’t want that…. so after this lot, I’ll stick with the UK and let you have free rein with the Dingo Dollar….
NE14OZGGS….

I think both you and I should scuttle away to somewhere we are unknown following the results of our Australian selections until improvement can be found.
BUT! I say But, who is the mystery man (was it a man?) who got there before poor Nathan?

December 6, 2019 at 08:58 #1476628Your right Bill, at these prices it’s turning into a layers paradise…. but what are a few losers between friends, there aint nobody daft enough to be following us…. Bill and Ben, Flowerpot Men….. Matron can be Andy Pandy and Nathan’s perfect for the part of Loopy Loo.
I’ll stick with the UK and avoid bumping into your selections…. unless my selections turn to poo and then I’ll have to crawl back under my rock…. happy days are just around the corner Billy my boy, today could be the day for 4 winners (or even more), don’t spare the horses old friend, lump on ’em big time…..

December 6, 2019 at 12:45 #1476638G’day MrE and others daft enough to read these notes.
I am looking for horses with names such as LEMSIP or perhaps VICKS VAPOUR RUB for any kind of inspiration but I have found 3 of interest from Saturday’s cards but as you say no one is silly enough to take any notice.
Doomben R6, SNITCH @ 17/10 Paddy Power
Morphetville R8, BELZELLA @ 2/1 P.Power

December 6, 2019 at 19:14 #1476669Unlike some of our TV inquisitors seeking something negative when involved in political debate I feel I must ask MrE a question which I hope will reveal something far more informative.
Do tell us how many winners you have posted these past and very limited days?
Have they produced a profit, at level stakes of course.
And if as I think, there shows a profit, can you demonstrate how much it would be for a full 12 month term.

December 6, 2019 at 19:47 #1476676THE KINGSTON TOWN CLASSIC is the 3rd million dollar race in as many weeks at Perth’s number 1 venue.
Race number 8 on the card throws up a few interesting snippets: –
William Pike known as the Wizard of the West is riding the current favourite TUSCAN QUEEN and would like to follow up his 1 million winning ride in the Railway Stakes here a couple of weeks ago
The Parnaham’s (trainer & rider) are also hoping for a repeat having won the 1/2 million WA Guineas at this venue with their entry KAY CEE.
I noticed Martin Harley is riding for Goldolphin’s second string TALLY, although it has been known for them to be capable of causing upsets but BEST OF DAYS is expected to run well for the Boys in Blue.
KAY CEE won at SP return of 11.00 and BEST OF DAYS 3rd return SP 5.50

December 6, 2019 at 22:49 #1476702My little wombat….. everything I do turns to gold over time….. but only the UK stuff, I’m still getting my hand in with Aussie racing.
I use a database that makes my selections within the UK, so that is easy my friend, but the Aussie stuff, although I have found it very profitable, has only just entered it’s 4th month and I need a little longer to assess the profitability. I prefer Aussie racing because it’s so straight forward, their track are level (almost), they dont run uphill and down dale with their races, it’s just a straight forward race…. the majority of racing is for “milers” or sprinters, I haven’t seen many races over more than 2000 meters (about 1m 2f in our language), that makes the form pretty easy to decipher. I made a profit of 38pts in September, 25pts in October and 7pts in November…. the drop in profit will tell you why I am treading carefully, will the Aussie bubble burst???… dunno mate, I guess we’ll soon find out.
I know my UK database inside out and I am confident of continues profits…. but I still need proof that my knowledge of Australian racing is up to the job. I have spent hundreds of hours studying the way they do things and it is totally different to ours, it was hard to accept that they are working Upside Down, but once you get acclimatised, it is a lot easier….. have I got it right yet??? dunno mate, I doubt it and I will continue until I have the answer to Aussie stuff, but I am over the moon with the UK racing…. if I can get this year under my belt and it turned out as as good as last year, I’ll pass the reins over to my daughter and she can do the hard work… I’m getting tired now old fella, really tired…. and I think I’ll hang up my boots at the end of this year….

December 7, 2019 at 10:17 #1476723I think my Australian run has hit the barriers for the 2nd time and I must face the humiliating fact of wasting not only my time but that of any reader.
It is not so much as giving up MrE but perhaps time to take a step back and tweak what is wrong and can improve the results.
As you are aware I do not involve myself with domestic winter racing and so I have plenty of time to sort this out because I fear by posting losers it only becomes a poor advert for all that is going on down there and that is simply unfair to all the wonderful races they provide.
At last I was able to provide a pointer towards KAY CEE the Group 1 winner of KINGSTON TOWN CLASSIC for the father and son trainer and jockey at a healthy 11.00 return.

December 7, 2019 at 10:36 #1476728Hi Billy…. yeah, step back and take the deepest of breaths cuz it aint an easy ride…. but don’t concern yourself with hurting anyone on here, nobody is mad enough to be following us pair of nutters, they all know that it’s a bit of chat and an effort to get some rapport going, I have to say though, it’s like trying to raise the dead….
This lot will send ’em scuttling for cover…. duck down behind the barricades, the shrapnel is flying….NE14UKGGS….

A profit of 1.35pts on the day, not gobsmacking but it keeps me on target for December….
December 7, 2019 at 11:15 #1476734It never ceases to amaze MrE that this site has an increase in visitors year after year but, the vast majority prefer not to post.
Bill why not have a look at the UK AW? Less meetings to get involved with.
December 7, 2019 at 11:35 #1476738G’day Matron.
I decided a while back to follow the Flat where conditions are better than our winter venues and there is so much going on in Australia it is quite enough for this sad old brain to contend with. The second advantage for myself is time and I have a full 24 hours prior to the races to fit finding my selections (poor though they are at present) thus allowing me to contend with my domestics without getting verbals from dear Daphne.
I find domestic racing in our summer starts later and I feel less under pressure.
I will however whilst trying to iron out my selection problems attempt to provide something of interest which may kindle some interest.
Hawkesbury is the top NSW venue providing racing this Sunday at Race 5 (4.35) has a prize of 35,000 for the winner of this maiden.
CELANDINE is considered the better of two Godolphin entries, the other being COLLETTE which having been sire by Singspiel cannot be overlooked. So, at 4/1 with UNIBET, CELANDINE is my tentative each way pick. – 2nd, almost returns stake, not quite.

December 7, 2019 at 13:10 #1476766Hello Matron….. yeah, I know that I’m always whinging about the lack of posters, but I do understand the members not wishing to post. It’s hard work to keep babbling on to the point of insanity (in Bill’s case) and there’s not many up for it due to other commitments…. it’s just a longing for the early years with the likes of yourself, Dave Jay and the Norfolk Nutter, not forgetting young Daz. As we get older, the distant days always appear better, but it’s a way of not letting the future slip by to quickly….. the girls and boys on here are different now and the use the different chat platforms, I am a member of a racing group that has a Facebook page, it’s all changing and it’s probably for the better, but I can’t recognise it….
It’s always a pleasure to pop back in from time to time to visit “mother”……

December 7, 2019 at 14:07 #1476782Not quite Nathan…. that guy was even dafter than Bill or Matron, if that’s at all possible…. to tell you the truth mate, I was the only sensible one around.
And now I’m getting peed off again….. 1 winner and 2 x 2nds so far….. I think Bills been rubbing himself against me….mmmm…. I wonder if he’s been “doctored”….

December 7, 2019 at 15:01 #1476787Norfolk Nutter – no, not I, after all I am only a part time resident there.
1 winner + 2 x 2nd ain’t arf bad MrE at worst you got a winner there but I do understand following the early success we enjoyed it feels disappointing and my run over 2nd’s has now entered double digits. So do we say the selections are good but just not quite good enough on the given day or do we class the systems as failures? The problem as I see it the prices are not good enough for either place or e/w betting.
Did you not recently tell me your daughter, Sian, had a losing run of 18 and yet still pulled in a profit for November.
Let us just hang in there because it will get better . . . . I promise.

December 7, 2019 at 16:07 #1476804Oh, I’m happy Bill, it’s just that I’ve got a face that looks like a smacked arse….. after today’s winners, my total profit for this thread (NE14UKGGS) is +6pts…
I have dropped the Aussie selections so that we don’t clash…. and they were only practice shots anyway, lots more work to do on Aussies if I can even be bothered…. I have plenty of success with my UK selections, I only went to Aussie cuz I fancied my chances when our own weather was bad, still will play with them, but not good enough to post.
Yes, my daughter had 18 losers on the bounce during November and still ended up with a 7pts profit for the month…. I left that for her to sort out, I couldn’t get out of bed for 7pts a month….
