LOL Graham you’re going to have the time of your life and need an armour plated taxi and several members of G4S to escort you home on the Thursday

Won’t be one until the Arkle. Good luck

February 24, 2017 at 13:57 #1288668I hope he stays well for you Nathan….they’ve been dropping like ninepins
I might have to update the league after the weekend if I don’t get my laptop back by tomorrow. My mobile seems to hate the Stable Stars site
March 3, 2017 at 01:23 #1289637Got my laptop back eventually, so hopefully normal service can be resumed.
There’s no point posting the league today, I’ll just do a 2 week catch up
after Friday’s racing.Reminder that transfers for week 17 have to be in by 9pm later today (Friday
03/02/17). As mentioned last week, there won’t be a bonus race until the
Festival. Good luck this week, and in getting your stable in shape for Cheltenham
March 3, 2017 at 23:53 #1289788Ok, I can copy and paste again, but not any changes at the top. Andrew Sutherland
tops the TRF league, but even more impressively Andrew is 14th in the Stable Stars
Competition outright. I don’t want to jinx you Andrew, but you’re in with a with a
very realistic chance, keep it up sir
I’m glad I put a reminder up last night for everyone to remember their transfers,
perhaps someone should have sent one back to me…..9.30pm and the penny dropped,
so I’ve no runner tomorrow, or this week
Remind me who’s supposed to be running this league
Here are the scores on the doors………

I have Capitaine as my star this week and I’m leaving him in for Cheltenham in he wins today. Luckily I left The Last Samuri in from way back so I get 2 chances today.
Good luck to Andrew 14th is a brilliant position in the Overall Stable Stars Competition, wish him well to win this.

I swopped my Elite horse over yesterday taking out Faugheen for Altior.
Sorry I didn’t look through the League last night Graham I could have tried to remind you but at least no bonus races. Who would you have put in out of interest? Better luck for next week and of course The Festival..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 4, 2017 at 13:25 #1289860DOH !!! indeed Jac. I was going to make the change in the afternoon, before I left to spend the
weekend in Dunoon, but thought I’d hang on until as late as possible in case of withdrawls. It
probably makes sense, but it helps if you haven’t a memory like a sieve
I probably would have put in Le Mercurey, who’s running at Kelso and is my idea of a big priced
National winner (or at least a place).I think you’re on a good thing with Capitaine, he should get some points on the board for you
today, and The Last Samuri is the class act in his race, although I’m just taking a chance on
Definitely Red who’s getting 12lbs from him and is pretty decent on his day too. I’ll shout on
Capitaine for you, and TLS if DR decides to down tools half way through and goes for an early lunch
March 5, 2017 at 14:00 #1290014Well done with Definitely Red Graham, looks like he has a great chance in the National.
Could probably discount the runs of The Last Samuri and Le Mercurey considering the ground etc, although
it’s looking like TLS will probably carry too much weight in The National Im still keeping
everything crossed for him as it’s just down to luck in staying put and staying on up The Elbow.
Not much change in the League positions as most of the fancied horses went down. Only one week to make vital changes now and I think Capitaine is too quirky to take a chance on this year, maybe next..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 6, 2017 at 02:28 #1290106Thanks Jac, I was well pleased with Definitely Red’s run, but as you say, I don’t think
much can be taken out of the running of quite a few on Saturday. The Last Samuri was
getting himself ready for the big one, and with the ground being probably worse than
the declared “soft” at Doncaster, he ran a good race without leaving his season behind
on ground worse than he wanted, and was picking up nicely at the end. I think he’s the
perfect National type horse, and I’m not sure the weight he carries will be enough to
stop him. I think I’ll have a bit of the 16s that’s on offer. I doubt he will be much
more than half that price come the big day.The ground was even worse at Kelso, I’m surprised Nicholls let some of his run.
The form of Le Mercurey and Capitaine that day can certainly be, as you said,
discounted. We learned nothing there, but I’d agree with you that Capitaine is
a very risky proposition.Just over a week to the Festival, I’m soooooooo looking forward to it. We’ll be
heading down south on the Wednesday and will be staying at my sis in law’s place
just outside Stratford, for a week or so, and I’m heading to Cheltenham on Friday.
I’ve got my ticket in the front row of the Guinness Stand, I’m like a kid waiting
for Christmas
Good luck with your stable Jac, it looks a great one, and happy punting during
the 4 days
March 6, 2017 at 10:35 #1290120Can feel your excitement Graham just like me before the Guineas Meeting and what great seats you have, you won’t miss a hoofbeat. Lots of luck and enjoy the craic (think that’s how they spell it)

I’ve everything crossed for my stable there’s a few hopefuls in there especially Bristol De Mai but who knows and good luck with yours too.
Don’t forget the competitions going on here while you are away, Nathan has a Cheltenham Comptition running and also there is the Telegraph Fantasy Racing starting soon where Nathan has set up a TRF team, think about 9 of the usual suspects have entered so look forward to seeing you there. It’s easy to take part in just choose 3 jockeys and 3 trainers to follow. I think you’ve done it before..

Here’s the link and good luck:-

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 6, 2017 at 12:14 #1290134Me?, enter competitions…..surely not
Lol, you’d need to beat me off with a stick to keep me out
of them Jac. I’ll register for the fantasy telegraph one today
and I’ll make sure all my entries are in for Nathan’s compy
early on or the night before if I’m going to be on the move.
This is undoubtedly the best time of year for me
March 10, 2017 at 19:57 #1290949Sorry this is a bit late, but reminder week 18 transfers to be in for 9pm tonight.
Cheltenham week, and this could make or break a few stables. Good luck all, I’ll
update the league shortly, or in the morning at latest. Apologies for the lateness
of this, it’s been that kind of day
March 10, 2017 at 20:00 #1290951Glad you did BigG…….

Have a fantastic time on Gold Cup day Graham and if we don’t see you next week we know you are on some beautiful beach in the middle of the Carribean sipping Pina Colladas or seated on the deck of your brand new yacht… Jac
