Everyone is welcome to take part, even the Aussie forum members.
Rules
Entries must be made before the first ball of each Test match.
No editing of post’s after first ball. There will be a separate thread for each Test match.
Scoring
You have 200 points in each match to spread out in anyway you chose to put into an England win, Australia win plus the draw. example as followed.
England 99
Australia 66
Draw 35If Australia win you will score 66
Selections made that are over 200 points will have the amount over taken off their highest prediction.
Selections made that are under 200 points will have the amount under put onto their lowest prediction.
You also score points with a power player. You chose one player per match that will score you points as followed.
batting – for every 1 run = 1 point
bowling – for every 1 wicket = 20 points
fielding – 1 catch = 10 points, 1 stumping = 10 points. (run outs don’t score.)You can pick as many reserve power players as you like. If none of your chosen players are involved in the match or you forget to chose a player then the first batsman of the team batting first will become the selection.
The winner will be the person who scores the most points added together from each Test match.
I think that covers all the rules and scoring, if anything comes up within the five matches my decision will be final.
Start Dates of Test matches.

Cocked it up infact. Expected rain all day Saturday and showers on Sunday. As it was the rain didn’t arrive until after tea on Saturday and had it not Australia would almost certainly have won
A winner by a nose. What a fine match it was and really enjoyed listening to TMS, something I haven’t done much in recent times

33 – GrasshopperMember since March 2008August 5, 2009 at 11:54 #242595Nathan – you’ve given me a few too many points there! I selected the ill-fated Brad Haddin as my power player, not Shane Watson as above, and foolishly failed to include a reserve.
My total should therefore be 115 fewer points – 679, putting me 53 points behind David in second place.
Well done David.
August 5, 2009 at 17:11 #242619I’m going to let your points stand Benny as rightly or wrongly when i put the rules together one of them was –
You can pick as many reserve power players as you like. If none of your chosen players are involved in the match or you forget to chose a player then the first batsman of the team batting first will become the selection.
[/color:2isesdx8]
Australia batted first with Watson facing the opening ball so he became your selection.
With two tests to go i think we should keep the rules as they are and to be fair not many people had included reserves anyway so it could of happened to anyone else.

Quite understandably there was no refund for 5th day advance ticket sales, which presumably is usually the case.
Good to see Mitchell Johnson back. Long had a soft spot for the small band of left-arm quickies: Wasim Akram and the oft-overlooked Gary Sobers the best I can recall, and I see no reason why Johnson shouldn’t emulate them now.
His dismissal of last man out Onions was, to quote FS Trueman "wasted on thee lad"
edit:
According to BBC ‘Look North’ there’s an offer of a free day at a Headingley county match for those with 5th day tickets so I may enquire about that
