Very encouraging schooling round from the Fever at Leop today, went round at a good clip and flew every fence. Great to see.

Just show it on ATR, very good.
I think he’s a great price looking at his form at Cheltenham, ok he has lost at very short odds in minor races but in the big races you cant knock him.

Dont you think he jumpwed well in the defy lodgic race champagne fever?.That’s what surprised me he made one very bad mistake and then weakened very tamely imo

I’d agree with that. We’ll never know what was going through the horse’s mind after the mistake – was he hurting ? – but Ruby initially got after him following the mistake and the horse found absolutely nothing until he was eventually given an easy time of it.

They were going a decent clip at the time granted but something about it wasn’t quite right for me.

The Arkle is all about jumping and while I’ve been backing Dodging Bullets for a while, you’d have to be concerned about Russell’s comments that Trifolium is the best jumper of a fence he’s ever sat on.

He went out like a light the year before behind Rule the World but came back fine for the Festival.

APPARENTLY Henderson told the Dunraven Preview Night audience that Grandouet did not work well on Friday ( this coming after describing him a week ago as in the best form of the season )

and to add to that Tinkler said he’d have fallen if it was a jumpers bumper.

re Champagne Fever’s pre-festival race last year; the fact that he’s bounced back from a poor run once before does not mean he

    will

do so again. Yes, it makes him less likely to not do so but it’s negating the negative rather than adding a positive – if that makes sense

    True.
I just think he is a Cheltenham horse and even though the ground was described as soft last year it’s good ground compared to running on soft over in Ireland.

I love trifolium wilson. When he won his grade one last time he jumped like a buck and quickened away!…He had decent hurdle form but he could be a horse that improves greatly for the switch to fences…We have seen that in the great sprinter sacre.I feel at the odds for a horse that has a few questions to answer over fences champagne fever is very cramped at the odds.A horse im worried about for this is rock on ruby.I know he hasn’t been in the greatest races over fences, but me personally i felt his jumping improved a lot against mr mole. This horse loves cheltenham a champ hurdle winner and runner up must have a massive chance?.

He won the Deloitte prior to Cheltenham last year.

Recent strong form is a massive bonus for the Arkle

Well Chief won a Taunton novice ( close to the festival though ) prior to winning his Arkle but that was a poor renewal. Kicking King may have been second but he was a stayer so WC could even make a couple of mistakes and still win.
This is a hot renewal and CF hasn’t impressed over fences in competition and probably needs further already.

I thought Bryan Cooper gave Trifolium a better ride last time than Davy had previously. Negative is the form of the Irish Arkle winners at Cheltenham, although the horse does seem to like the better weather – won both chase starts with the Sun and Bryan on his back

I’m just pointing out that he can run stinkers and still bounce back.

Totally agree that CF could win the arkle hes a class horse but at the odds and with a very poor run last time he can win for me at the odds as i believe they is no value there

He’ll run if the ground is no worse than Good to Soft.
