Stable first jockey rides the other horse…

Means Elliott has limited expectations well Stilvi. He isn’t the only one Ginger.
I don’t lay horses but she would be place lay if I did. Interesting that Elliott has turned to his righthand man, Kennedy. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if it looks as if she wants four miles after tomorrow’s race.
Ideally he would want the ground to dry out but Sceau Royal drifting towards a backable price.
November 26, 2016 at 21:31 #1274396Well, she ran better than I expected but that run has probably put paid to any Champion Hurdle aspirations.
For whatever reason she just doesn’t look the same model as last year. The speed and slick jumping have disappeared. I doubt very much a step up in trip is going to provide some sort of overnight transformation.
I certainly don’t buy into the idea that last juveniles were somehow useless. Yes, Ivanovich Gorbatov has made a poor start to his season but the likes of El Terremoto, Footpad, Let’s Dance, Clan Des Obeaux, Frodon, Gibralfaro, Who Dares Wins, Sceau Royal, Jer’s Girl, Rashaan, and Wolf Of Widlesham could hardly be described as disappointing.
November 26, 2016 at 22:28 #1274399She might simply be a Spring horse
November 26, 2016 at 23:10 #1274403Looks like they are training it on the course to me, don’t worry it will come good when they put some work in.
November 27, 2016 at 18:24 #1274806SO ELLIOT NOW SAYS GOING TO 2 1/2 MILE. SO WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE HER FOR CHELT IM MARCH. SHE ONLY 7/2 FOR THE MARES HURDLE. SO HOW CAN YOU TAKE THAT IF SHE NEEDS A TRIP
November 27, 2016 at 19:01 #1274822Very disappointing again yesterday. I think you could be right steeplechasing, she could be a spring horse or it may just be that last years crop of juvenile hurdlers were not that good.
November 27, 2016 at 19:07 #1274825Ivanovich Gorbatov is also struggling to make an impact. On the other hand; horses like Sceau Royal, Frodon, Clan des Obeaux – who all were very easily beaten by Apples Jade last spring – are doing fine.
November 27, 2016 at 19:10 #1274826I SEE THEY DECIDED TO GO LONGER WITH IVANLVICH AS WELL
December 4, 2016 at 13:38 #1275678Has everyone deserted Apples Jade?
I don’t know.
December 4, 2016 at 13:50 #1275680Great race there with Vroum Vroum. Elliott clearly bringing her on at the track rather than Willie’s approach which is to get them ready at home. I’m not sure she’d have run more than once with Willie but we’ve seen her three times already this season with Elliott. Interesting to see how she stands up to repeated racing, some thrive some don’t. She looks like she could do the former.

December 4, 2016 at 14:15 #1275685Bryan Cooper mentioned the Mares Hurdle as a realistic goal for Cheltenham.
December 4, 2016 at 14:18 #1275686Has everyone deserted Apples Jade?
No,
Looking at Apple’s Jade’s record, she ran at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown. Unlike the vast majority who try the feat, running at least as well at the third Festival as the second. This 8 days break was shorter than any of those – so a slight worry – but last Spring showed she thrives on racing.
