Recent form confirms if you’re averaging 5/2 – 11/4 bets you’re going to have dispiritingly long losing sequences so I thought I’d concentrate on 4/5 – 6/4 range and see how it goes. Will have to avoid any brain flatulence like supporting Everton just after their two most influential midfielders have headed for the Afcon tournament!
Wolves score against the Iron
Seagulls score 2 v Burnley
Ballyboden St Endas Win v Daingean (Dingle) (Club GAA)
11/8 Treble Chance
Wolves strikers looked sharpish last week almost PL looking! Think they only failed to score twice at home this season
Giving Brighton benefit of the doubt after partaking in what looked like a decent Championship match v the Hammers last week. Presumably more in the locker after that undemanding exercise. Have usually scored a couple at least at home this season
Strong odds on fav in the GAA match to bring it into odds against range. Dingle have injuries I heard
January 4, 2026 at 14:57 #1749544Fulham Beavers build a goal if not a dam against Redskins!
St Brigids Qualify v Scotstown in 2nd GAA Semi Final
Is todays Double Coin Toss!
Games at Newcastle and Citeh Under 4.5 would have been my non GAA alternative Treble
January 17, 2026 at 12:19 #1750728Everyone expecting 1-3 or say 2-4 on form but Carrick is now a fly in the ointment
Citeh may be spending more time cooling the jets and will find easier matches to yank up their goal difference
So it’s just an idle coin toss from me!
Citeh score 2
Tractor Boys and Hatters register on the score-sheet
11/10 Treble Chance!
January 17, 2026 at 18:26 #1750851Ended up having a look at first half of Tricky Trees v Gunners after all
Struck by how relaxed and direct the Gunners are and they have had several great chances already. Even Money looks fair enough for them to take all three points in 2nd half for the purposes of this coin-tossing experiment!
January 20, 2026 at 19:56 #1751159More evenish than evens!
Inter will hardly be as prosaic as they were against Liverpool but wonder if they can really increase intensity against this higher quality opposition. Who knows what attitude Arsenal will adopt but there’s a good chance they won’t need too many common corners. Just a little digestif to make the game more engaging
Under 9.5 Corners
Gunners find the net11/8 + Double Chance!
January 21, 2026 at 16:16 #1751196Liverpool need to try to keep things tight tonight and avoid too open a game
2 Liverpool goals v Marseille
Magpies Win race to 3 Corners v PSV
11/8 Double Chance
Presume Aubaumeyang is starting for hosts
9/4 to score worth considering!Aubaumeyang and keeper Rulli two to admire, Nathan!
Aubaumeyang only sub
January 21, 2026 at 19:09 #1751204He’s on the bench
Greenwood will know its all eyes on him tonight
hopefully he gets a whack or two
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 25, 2026 at 13:48 #1751832More helter-skelter from the Magpies without much end product – took it easy during week in Europe to be ready for Villains!
Under 3.5 Goals
Gunners to eventually unlock Utd defence on at least 2 occasions
Minimalist 11/8 Double Chance suggestion!
January 25, 2026 at 15:16 #1751843Head cold responsible for failing to include first component of that double. It was Under 3.5 at St James Pk for what it’s worth. Missed out on my “Beaver” bet yesterday because of it. Should have taken weekend off!
January 28, 2026 at 19:28 #1752279Imagine the Magpies will be taking a pragmatic approach tonight at PSG and may settle for a respectable draw or even defeat
Under 4.5 Goals
Chelsea physicality and fire-power in Naples should ignite a goal or two, methinks
BTTS
5/4 + Double Chance!
(Just a popcorn bet to accompany the viewing)
January 30, 2026 at 19:45 #1752541A shade of odds against for the Robins to rule the Rams isn’t exactly generous but I’ll take it anyway for the interest. Visitors seem to struggle a bit against passing sides – and even against a team like Brom with few play makers!
Twine to score or assist @ 2/1 + looks better value
January 31, 2026 at 13:54 #1752671Down/Armagh/Tyrone/Kildare; ~ 7/2, worth a quid, Armagh and tyrone games are on TV. Very much a phoney war at the moment, so prediction difficult.
January 31, 2026 at 16:44 #1752712I’ll go with the Orchard County (Armagh) anyway Befair to justify long odds on – thought Galway looked a bit callow last week v Mayo
Add the Redskins to put two in the Magpie nest for that Evens coin toss!
February 1, 2026 at 12:59 #1752908£1 Donegal/Dublin/Roscommon/Sligo/Meath ~14/1.
Fernandes SOT evens, worth a tenner
£1 Villa/Forest double ~7/2February 3, 2026 at 19:46 #1753460Tricky League Cup tie tonight. Wouldn’t argue with Post’s BTTS Over 2.5 tip
Wouldn’t underestimate Chelsea tonight. Seem to thrive in these big stadiums and must be brimming with confidence after Napoli.
Chelsea to find the net!
Citeh to tame the Magpies tomorrow
(assuming they treat them with more respect than they did Spurs at the weekend!)6/4 Double Chance
Had to take the Evensish about 4 corners each tonight too!
February 3, 2026 at 22:11 #1753471Well we got our answer as to the worth of the League Cup – not worth a game of Cockney chess (without Queens, Bishops or Knights) or even a niggle! Wouldn’t be too happy if I was among the 60,000
February 4, 2026 at 15:42 #1753504Didn’t realise you were so unlucky with that GAA bet Befair – thought you were going with Armagh as well – trust the Dubs to let you down! Shame to see that Donegal v Kerry tie being played at a Micky Mouse venue. Wonder if Kerry will be as experimental against Galway.
Meant to ask you about that hurling tradition on the Ards peninsula – Does it go back in time like in north Antrim or did it develop with the formation of the GAA or is it even more recent
