    AOB said this last week…

“Benvenuto always looked like he would get a mile and a half, which he did at Chester. We always felt he would get a mile and a half but could come back to a mile and a quarter, whereas Constitution River will have no problem coming back to a mile. He looked like he might get a mile and a quarter, so he went to Chester to find out and he looked like he did.”

If he’s happy and healthy, CR ought to be going to the Eclipse.

Having watched the race a couple of times a few things stuck out. Firstly c river didnt half use up a lot of petrol in the first few furlongs. He must have been motoring from furlongs one to 3 as he must have covered 6 or 7 more lengths than the pack. Thats why he wasnt as visually impressive. Second he didnt handle the turning track. He got away with it at chester as he was far superior but ryan had a shorter rein near side as he had more trouble steering him than riding out.
Hawk mountain a very good horse but a tricky ride. Soumillion did a good job on him but think he needs to be held up a bit more.
Montreal looks an improving horse. Where he goes next is a tricky one. Maybe ascot or irish derby.
Finally a boy named susie the only one from the pack to run on. Really motoring at the end. Will find it tough against the ballydoyle battalions but he looks like he will be there abouts at 10 to 12f. Maybe eclipse for him.
