I’ve just seen this, and I think it’s absolutely brilliant! However, if Mr. Knott ever decided to ride at Saarbruecken, I think he would be classed as a ‘stylish rider’!!
Honestly, I was there in May – imagine a race over a course 6 furlongs round, and 12 Anthony Knotts hurtling down the back straight!!!

November 25, 2008 at 00:58 #191871Always first with the news, BBC News 24 is only now running the Anthony Knott story. There was not even mention made that the race took place four days ago, but rather some lazy, shorthand reportage on how this win elevates Knott above the status of other heroically useless sportsmen such as Eddie the Eagle and Eric the Eel.
Poor.

November 25, 2008 at 03:30 #191918Good heavens, have they run out of football stories?
November 25, 2008 at 03:56 #191924Great to see that it’s on YouTube too, with loads of Racing UK branding all over it.
Shame that there’s so little else in the way of British racing on there these days thanks to the very same Racing UK’s disgraceful act of cultural vandalism a few months ago…

November 26, 2008 at 04:07 #192197he has for some time been a much sought after pilot by trainers who know the time of day, including the likes of Venetia and Henrietta,
Some scurrilous types might suggest that Hen doesn’t know what month it is, never mind the time of day. Not me obviously, as evidenced by my continuing to pay her training fees.
November 26, 2008 at 06:12 #192231Venetia and Henrietta,
Anyone else notice that "Venetia and Henrietta" is an anagram of Hernia Date Viennetta?
A flavour that never quite met approval at the Walls development lab, I’d proffer…

December 3, 2008 at 23:10 #194154I notice that tomorrow’s Wincanton meeting, the first back there since That Ride, features the Bathwick Tyres Salutes Anthony Knott Handicap Hurdle.
A nice touch.
