Quote: from davidjohnson on 12:00 pm on Mar. 18, 2007[br]Wasn’t Iktitaf going as well as Sublimity when he came down. Anyone who has taken 7/1 Sublimity now should have their wallets and betting accounts seized to stop themselves doing any further damage.
If you watch the race again Iktitaf was about to be passed by Sublimity when he came down.. He’s not found a lot in the past..
However, I have a suspicion he may be the one if running at punchestown. Can’t forget his win there last year.
March 21, 2007 at 16:37 #46931Ive taken a little 10-1 on Katchit
Sublimity could be special, but this little terrier just keeps impressing. He really tore a decent tirumph field apart.
Every chance we wont see DC in the champion next year and the old guard’s time must have passed by then
March 21, 2007 at 22:46 #46935I hate to disagreee Grassy (well ok I love to disagree Grassy) but I don’t think the bookies will have any hesitation in cutting the prices of Sublimity and Katchit if and win they win next time up. Sure, you could still get 7s and 14s for a the odd quid on Betfair, but I think you give the bookies too much credit.
March 22, 2007 at 00:22 #46946That’s not fair Grassy cos you know I cannot reject a challenge, and you’ll at least have to buy me a (well what do they do in Leith? – and not at night either, no fear!) drink to make it worth my while (and vice versa, but I don’t lose so that won’t happen! (shessshhh)
Immediately after the Triumph the prices were
Sublimity 7/1
Katchit 14/1
The prices now are
Sublimity 6/1
Katchit 12/1
which sort of proves my point anyway, but yer on Grassy, just make sure Corm doesn’t do any spring cleaning and wipe the thread!
Edit: those are the best prices btw, if you want to use a single bookies, then Stan James are 6/1 and 10/1 at the moment. (interesting Laddies go 7/2 Sublimity)
