David – is Eau Good a n/r now? Chapman does very well on sand when he gets half-decent animals, and if this one goes, it looks a reasonable each-way shot to me.
Beech Games is of interest, with the stable seemingly back in form, but has been very weak in early exchanges…
January 19, 2007 at 12:27 #67939Sorry NV. Forgot to mention Eau Good. As far as I know he’s still in but I’m not sure he’s much better than his mark now and this looks a stronger race than he was in last time, albeit he doesn’t have an unexposed one like Circus Polka to deal with.
January 19, 2007 at 12:51 #67940Having had a look
I’m not sure Catlin and the revised weights will make the difference for Beech Road DJ and i’m not confident enough to back CH, (who i like the look of) with the Kirk’s could be ow’t, Prescott’s could come on bundles factors coming into play
all the best guys, this looks tricky to me
January 19, 2007 at 14:13 #67941davidj – wd with Lobengula. i had the second and am still running in the placepot so am ever optimistic…
January 19, 2007 at 14:40 #67942Cheers NV. Have to admit I came mighty close to withdrawing my statement about Dobson being one of the better piolts in the race
January 19, 2007 at 15:52 #67943thanks dave spotted your post and helped myself to 15/2 on lobengula
January 19, 2007 at 15:59 #67944I’ll probably regret it, but i’ve decided to go with Chookie
wd with the earlier one DJ
January 19, 2007 at 16:19 #67945empty,

January 19, 2007 at 22:04 #67946Good shout EW
January 19, 2007 at 22:16 #67947well done people, I feel so embarrassed when looking at my "tips".
January 20, 2007 at 12:39 #67948After yesterday’s successful exploratory talks between Edward Gillespie and Arena Leisure, it was fitting to see the wily Len Lungo’s name appear in the Kempton declarations with old warrior Silvertown. (6.20).
He’s a big price too; solid at the trip, handles Polytrack and reasonably weighted. The last time today’s pilot Robert Winston took the mount, the combination made all at Musselburgh on firmish ground, (which Silvertown needs).
The opposition is nohing special and the Johnston favourite is much too short for a horse who has never won at this trip. (Interestingly, stable hotpot Trinity Rose was beaten by old warhorse High Point in identical circumstances before Christmas). Valance is a danger.
I’m also having a sporting Saturday Patent which includes:
Red Spell – 3.10 L. Best form in the field if the cards drop right. How can this one not be favourite? (through Hattan and Areyoutalking to me).
Burgundy – 2,10 L. Baker. Big price, Steps back up to 1m4f on a course still favouring hold up animals. The wide draw, if anything, should be an advantage.
Cheers and good luck:biggrin:

January 20, 2007 at 13:13 #67949Lingfield 3:10
Fajr 3/1
Marajaa 4/1
Happy as Larry 4/1
Vortex 12/1
Red Spell 11/1
Between the front three I think. Fajr solid. Marajaa may just be flattered on the run behind Areyoutalkingtome, especially as his trainer was on fire at the time. Happy as Larry ran OK in a tough race last week when I priced him up as an uneasy favourite, and back in trip in slightly easier race could get back into winning ways.
Happy as Larry 4pts win at 5/1
Lingfield 3:40
Bonus 3/1
Qadar 11/2
Maltese Falcon 11/2
Saviours Spirit 10/1
Secret Night 10/1
Royal Engineer 20/1?
Qadar looks to have a bit to do in first time blinkers trapped wide though he should get the pace he needs. Maltese Falcon may get taken on for lead to do for him. Bonus looks solid. I’ll hope he drifts. For now no bet.
January 20, 2007 at 13:25 #67950A very sore head after a very late night.. :(
3:10 1m – totesport 0800 221 221 Handicap (Class 2)
4/1 Red Spell, Marajaa, 5/1 Fajr, Happy As Larry, 9/1 Party Boss, Vortex
Red Spell to oppose what may turnout to be a solid favourite. I think that Party Boss (who is best when able to dominate) is undervalued in the place market which also makes the trifecta playable as follows..
A. Red Spell, B. Marajaa, C. Party Boss, D. Vortex, E. Fajr
AB/ABC/ABCDE
3:40 6f – totesport.com Handicap (Class 2)
3/1 Maltese Falcon , 4/1 Qadar, Bonus, 6/1 Saviours Spirit, 12/1 Secret Night, Moayed
The form of the Butler stable was woeful toward the end of last season and the only chink in the armour of Bonus.. Maltese Falcon should make amends after races from a poor draw and unsuitable surface. Recent change of running style (and price) makes Qadar playable also..

January 20, 2007 at 14:55 #679513.10 looks a cracker,
Red Spell appeals tbh at the head of the market, but i’m going with Kindlelight Debut, needs everything to fall right, but i think he’s got excellent claims on grabbing a place or better if they do
Decent e/w bet imo
All the best guys
January 20, 2007 at 15:15 #67952Bugger, should have saved :(
January 20, 2007 at 16:16 #67953One for later
Kemp 5.20
Councellor ran well for a long way at Wolves before tiring on his seasonal debut and that should have put him spot on for this,.
3llb higher than his last win at Wolves, however, he was running very well off this mark in slightly better company behind Byron Bay and Fantasiste and this slight drop in grade makes him deffo worth an e/w punt @ around 16-1, double that on BF imo
January 20, 2007 at 17:36 #67954Today’s results will make my hangover feel even worse Sunday morning..
