The next thing we will find out is that ICE has been commissioned to provide security at Manchester United. Soon one-quarter on the crowd will be whisked off to detention in Texas. Ratcliffe will then argue that he is saving the UK. What a prize c…!
February 16, 2026 at 16:32 #1754966U-turn number????? I’ve lost track now.
Democracy restored, as all council elections will now happen.
Reform wins legal battle, as Labour government chickens out of court hearing, which was scheduled for this Thursday. And HMG have to pay Reform’s legal costs….LOL.
Reed should resign, and Starmer too.
February 16, 2026 at 17:52 #1754975“Warrington’s only Reform councillor has defected to the Conservatives after just months in the role.
John Roddy, elected in August 2025, says he repeatedly raised detailed concerns about the town’s spiralling finances, only to be met with silence. Emails unanswered. No serious engagement. No credible local strategy.
According to Roddy, Warrington’s financial crisis was “not a priority”.
Reform says he was expelled for allegedly trying to damage the party. Roddy says there was no serious team structure, no detailed policy, no economic plan. Just headlines.
And here’s the thing… this isn’t news in Warrington. 😬
Back in October, after Reform UK suspended its Warrington branch, local member Terry White quit. He didn’t go quietly.
He said Reform:
😬 Welcomed two former BNP members to local meetings
❌ Had no local policies whatsoever and just wanted members to to push national messages about migration
🤐 Silenced members who spoke up
🪂 Tried to parachute in an MP candidate who doesn’t even live in WarringtonWhite said the party talks about democracy, free speech and strong local communities. But when challenged locally, dissent is shut down and issues are brushed aside. 🤯
They want to run the country.
They can’t even run local branches.”
Not sure if this has been posted already but I’m losing track of all of them. But thank goodness we have Reform to keep this country on the straight and narrow…February 16, 2026 at 18:43 #1754980Here is a list of the 15 U-turns since 4 July 2024:

February 16, 2026 at 19:42 #1754988“Reform UK’s council experiment is in more chaos…
At Staffordshire County Council, the Reform UK administration still has no permanent leader.
Reform say Chris Large stepped down due to a family bereavement, and colleagues offered condolences at the latest full council meeting. But like his predecessor Ian Cooper, Large has also faced allegations over racist social media activity. In his case, a TikTok account bearing his name was accused of making or endorsing racist comments. He denied being personally responsible, condemned the posts, and said multiple people had access to the account.
Before that, Cooper resigned as leader after being expelled by Reform for failing to disclose a social media account. He has faced allegations over racist posts and was reported to have been a “Top Fan” of a white supremacist Facebook group. He now sits as an independent councillor.
Now the council chamber is dominated by rows over racism claims, apologies, absences and protesters outside the building.
This is not stable leadership. It is dysfunction. ⚠️
Allegations around social media accounts. Claims of racist and misogynistic remarks. Senior figures missing from key meetings. Opposition councillors warning residents feel afraid. Protesters chanting “Large out. Mason out. Cooper out.”
And still no permanent leader.
When Conservative councillors are openly saying people fear living in the area because of Reform, that is not Westminster spin. That is a governing crisis playing out in real time at county level.
And let’s be clear. This is how they operate locally. We have seen it first hand. Councillors, their families and supporters pursued with baseless accusations. Individuals targeted online. Manufactured outrage. Division as strategy.
This is not just a Staffordshire story. It is a pattern seen in Kent, Durham, Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire.🧵
If this is how Reform governs one county council, imagine handing them more power”
February 16, 2026 at 19:49 #1754989It’s ok Farage will get pictured drinking a working class pint and all will be good in the world again …
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
February 16, 2026 at 20:26 #1754993People didn’t know what they were doing when they voted for Reform. Now hopefully they do and more hopefully they will remenber it.
In my youth we had ‘white supremacy will rule’ parties but they never got more than 5% of the vote and were righty arrested when they broke the law. Now with clever marketing and millions of pounds in sponsorship they get away with it. Tragic, isn’t it?
February 16, 2026 at 20:29 #1754994“People didn’t know what they were doing when they voted for Reform. Now hopefully they do and more hopefully they will remenber it.”
What Labour cannot do is capitulate to the rightwing media and call an early election. The longer they leave the election, the more Reform will demonstrate just how disorganised and incompetent they are, and become unelectable to all but the hardcore racists.
February 21, 2026 at 12:42 #1755615Been away from here for a few weeks so have missed all the fun.
However just let me say one thing, although somewhat belatedly.
Who appointed Mandelson? ……. Starmer did! ….. and as usual everybody and anybody else is to blame for the decision.
good luck to allFebruary 23, 2026 at 18:37 #1756024Mandelson arrested.
Starmer still wriggling out of responsibility.
Champagne Metropolitan Socialists – the worst kind of Socialist.

February 23, 2026 at 19:40 #1756034According to RWNJ, anyone who isn’t a RWNJ is a socialist.
February 23, 2026 at 19:55 #1756036“who you think would make the best PM?”
Me
February 23, 2026 at 22:34 #1756051Wilts, you clearly don’t understand how the British Constitution works, albeit an unwritten constitution. Nor do you know the meaning of ‘socialist’. A Socialist is someone who cares for other people and believes that working together will get the best result. It seems that all ‘happiness’ surveys conclude that what you would regard as a ‘socialist’ country (Norway, Denmark, Sweden etc) comes out on top. China is the best example of a socialist minded country where capitalism also thrives. This combination produces a very successful outcome. Pensioners in these countries are well looked after
Compare this with an ‘every man for himself’ country such as the USA where a large percentage of the population cannot afford food and healthcare, whilst a few billionaires swan around not helping anybody other than themselves. Pensioners in the USA are suffering.
I know which I prefer.
