Very much agree with you Gord regarding Un Atout. I think he could be a potential star in the making. I’m absolutely certain he’ll be jumping fences next season and in my opinion he’ll most likely take the same route as Sir Des Champs(Jewson with a Gold Cup tilt the year after). However, this years Supreme? Not for me. He may well be there or thereabouts but I don’t foresee him winning it.

Gord, this World Hurdle is in a muddle right? If’s, but’s and maybe’s the lot of them!

I know you have some juicy Anti Post bets on several Gigginstown horses but i’ve had one on my mind the past few days in Bog Warrior for this particular race!

Currently 20/1 with Skybet, entered over 3miles for the first time on Thursday – any thoughts pal?

    Bog Warrior

had a lofty reputation OLAS,he was being touted as an RSA horse along with ‘First Lieutenant’ and ‘Last Amendment’ but I never felt he was a natural Chaser unlike the other 2 Gigginstown inmates, its only just over a year ago this lightly raced 9yo made ‘Flemenstar’ look one paced and like yourself I’d say hurdling is his game, that one piece of form suggests he’s a proper Grade 1 horse so no doubts there,I believe he’d stay over 3m myself so no worries again. His name however does suggest he’d like soft ground and from memory I dont think he’s ever encountered anything else but. That would be my only concern regarding him as an Ante-Post proposition. 20/1 is generous for one you could still call a bit of a Dark horse.Good Luck, its a tough call that one! :?

Glad to see you like my tent or yours too gord, do you think AP will still be riding him? I hope so as I think AP knows how talented the horse is and won’t want to switch to the favourite after never mounting him in a race before.

Still yet to see Snake Eyes, but I’m getting sweeter by the day on

    Ned Buntline

. In the season Noel Meade lost Go Native, this horse looks like his prodigy.

    Un Atout

    is a bus mind

Funny but the first thing I thought of this morning wasn’t whether I should unleash the Kings Sword upon thy merry Dame lying next to me but whether I’d called

    Last Instalment

………..’Last Amendment’ in that post I wrote last night!! Thought as much! It wont be the ‘Last Amendment’ I have to make to my scribes I’m sure!! Thanks for not mentioning it though!

    Well

    Jezki

has had more jockeys on his back than most for a horse who’s only ran 8 times so Jessie will no doubt keep Robbie on him,its not the be all and end all if AP does ride the Irish horse but what I will say is Tony absolutely toyed with the opposition at Huntingdon the other day,he taught

    My tent or yours

a lot that day playing around like that in particular letting him bowl on whilst still on the bridle,he’ll be better suited to a ‘supreme’ pace and will sit a bit closer than he did on ‘Darlan’,when he quickens up the hill to go past ‘Un Atout’ and ‘Jezki’ and wins quite comfortably the first thing AP will say is ‘That makes up for Darlan in last years race’! The more I write about this fellow the more he gets backed! 8)

Anyone who thinks like me that the ideal Gigginstown horse for this years Ryanair is

    Sir des Champs

wants to avoid taking the 9/2 with William Hills as he’s currently trading at 120’s on the machine for the same race.Obviously you would lose your £8 with both if he never ran but the potential of making over £900 for a £8 far outways the Forty odd quid you’d get back from Hills. When you look how Gigginstown played their cards last year,(SDS-Jewson-21/2m)……(FL-RSA-3m) you’d think the obvious targets this time round would be (SDS-Ryanair-21/2m)…(FL-Gold Cup-31/4m)……Just a thought!

Gord i think the forgotten horse in supreme is

PIQUE SOUS only a maiden hurdle winner and 25/1 he got class bumper form only worry is not heard no news on him so hope he is ok.

PANTHER CLAW in thysteys handicap tomorrow. also any thoughts on big irish handicaps in ireland this week a hurdle race and one at weekend where Hidden Cyclone may go for but he got to much weight.

Any thoughts on Meydan tomorrow Bolger got a horse there and Dandy has a few in handicaps as well tomorrow.

Darren I have a 1 horse book for the ‘Supreme’ but

    Pique Sous

is without doubt a horse who should be trading at around the 10/1 mark imo,his Bumper form is Top Draw and if he does turn up on the day he will be,I’ve had a score on at 25/1 just as an insurance policy to cover my ‘My Tent or Yours’ bets. I agree about

    Panther claw

tomorrow,I think he’s sat perfectly in the handicap, unlike the Top Weight who I wouldn’t fancy.I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed

    Boston Bob

runs on Saturday as he needs a bit more experience for the RSA and at Meydan I’ll be cheering Trotter on.

Well I’ve spent a couple of hours going through this years RSA entries and the first horse to avoid is

    Dynaste

,he’ll do exactly what ‘Grand Crus’ did approaching 2 out come the day and at 5/2 I wouldn’t touch him with stolen money,he may have beaten

    Hadrians approach

in the ‘Feltham’ but he wont do the same in the ‘RSA’ as Nicky Hendersons horse looks all over an RSA type to me and at 20/1 he’s an e/w player.I’m also a big fan of

    Sword of Destiny

and he’d be my Gigginstown horse for the race, again at 25/1 he too is an e/w price,I’d be more concerned about him turning up but the Boys in Purple will be running something. My number 1 selection and the only horse I’ve backed for the race since ‘Battonier’ was ruled out is

    Boston Bob

at 10/1,he’s not the biggest price in the world and never has been,he’s a horse the Bookies fear and they are taking No chances with this fellow.I took all the 10/1 about ‘Denman’ a few years ago for this very race and feel exactly the same about this horses chance,he returned as a 6/5 chance,he had a lot more experience though and that is a concern,so long as he runs I’ll be happy!

I’m happy with that about Bob and totally agree with Hadrians, cracking price for a top yard only because of the false short price about DYNASTE!

I do hope we get some racing soon though so trainers can blow the cobwebs with the younger horses, not so important with older types as they know them inside out :-)
