Any 2yos you been impressed with at weekend i liked this
SIR JOHN HAWKINGSI’ll be watching this beautifully bred
Sir John Hawkins
closely, ground dependant mind, ground dependant! My horse at the minute is this
Coach House
,serious,serious horse,clocks tickin!

Johnny Hawkins
looks like a horse who could put it up to
Saburo
eh lads? He was pretty weak in the betting which probably means there’s a fair bit to work on with him which is exciting as he looks like he has a fair bit of Henry’s blood in him. If he can keep improving in the manner Peeping Fawn did then the sky’s the limit. Is it just me or does there seem to be a serious amount of talented two year old’s around? Your
Coach House
won well Gord, but why they dropped
Club Wexford
back to 5 I’ll never know!
May 29, 2013 at 09:50 #441072Flashy Approach
declared to run tomorrow with Declan McDonagh on board.
May 29, 2013 at 19:48 #441107With Magician now not travelling I have taken the 18s about Libertarian EW as I really think if he can hold his place coming down the hill he will finish with a proper rattle and hopefully place
galaxy rock EW at 66s is my other bet apart from ante post the awesome Dawn ApproachMay 29, 2013 at 20:21 #441113Libertarian has to be the each way value with doubts about man of the others ground wise. And don’t you mean Galileo Rock?

‘Galaxy Rock’ eh GDC? You are as bad as me with my ‘Highbarns’ and ‘Current approach’!
Everything is running for 2nd place as its a question of just how far the Big chestnut son of a Big chestnut Derby winner wins by!May 29, 2013 at 20:51 #441121My number 1 selection for this years Hennessey goes to Nigel Twiston-Davies 7yo
Same Difference
………………………………………………………………………………………..at 16/1 also he is my No 1 Ante-Post selection for the big race in late November.I shall be backing both to small wagers and build up a bank over the Summer. Thats how TAPK gets the edge………..
Foresight
Just been offered 20s by Billy Hills Gord. Wouldn’t want me ol’ mate getting short changed now would I

Cracking price Boz,I believe he has the profile of a Hennessey horse and 20/1 is big mate, well played!
May 30, 2013 at 08:29 #441150Those of us that go out in the midday sun Gold digging are those who reap the rewards later on.Spadework is hard work and I’ve done plenty of the literal interpretation in my time so for me to spend hours at a time metaphorically digging my way through videos and form is actually easy.Last night I went through a good dozen ‘Coventry’ prospects as I saw them and I could easily go 7/1cofavs of four,
Man amongst Men
10/1, is a serious horse and I know Hayley wants the ride,
Championship
his victor, imo will beat him again though,he is available at 8/1 and ticks one extra box than the latter and thats the fact connections have won this race twice in the past 4 years.I like the colts
Justice Day
14/1,
Anticipated
12/1, and
Master Carpenter
14/1, all of whoms form suggest there’s not a lot between them. When I look for a ‘Coventry’ type I’m looking for a colt whos’s shown progressive form quickly, not necessarily a precocious 2yo as I look at the bigger picture for ‘Coventry’ sorts and rather than see a typically good 2yo I’m looking for a Class 2yo,I dont see that in all the above and I certainly dont see it in the likes of
Windfast
7/1,
Canyari
12/1 and
Thunder Strike
12/1.I would say the once raced
Coulsty
12/1 is the
Dark
horse of the race though,he’s not easy to get a handle on but was visually impressive on his Leicester debut the other night and Lord Vestey could have a Royal Ascot sort in him.My idea of the best 2yo seen thus far this side of the Irish sea is
Championship
,he scores highly in my little world of box ticking and at 8/1 looks a solid e/w Ante-Post wager for a horse who should be targeted to the Coventry and no other race, others could run elsewhere,he wont!
Now for the big guns in Ireland and I can see bothSaburo
10/1 and
Coach House
6/1 coming over,I’m not sure about the likeable
Michaelmas
10/1 and
Stubbs
12/1 but there’s good races in both.I’m not happy with ‘Saburo’s’ breeding particularly the Dam ‘Scatina’ who has actually a 3yo filly
by New approach but hasn’t achieved anything, there’s plenty stamina there though and I know Tommy THM rates this fellow highly.I likeCoach House
and have done since he was beaten by ‘Fast in the wind’on his debut, what I like more though is the fact he improved rapidly to reverse that form last time out and I believe there’s still plenty more to come,he has plenty speed but his breeding suggests he’s a Sprinter and as much as that suits the ‘Coventry’ this fellow could be contesting the Golden Jubilee next year as I cant see how he can get a mile so from a 2000gns perspective the jurys still out. This post however is about my ‘Coventry’ thoughts and I believe this
Coach House
is the winner,he really does tick every box I can throw at him!
May 30, 2013 at 16:44 #441197Enough about the future Gord how about the vital next 2 days

Any fancies apart from the Captain and Dawn Approach?
May 30, 2013 at 17:16 #441199Gord how comes you on LIBER NAUTCUIS at only 10/1 any reason you not back after debut am on at 25s myself. And MARS at 25s as well and i have a saver on OCOVANGO on the day though still be kicking your cat if it wins and not backing it at 66/1

Are you going down there Gary? I’m on
Liber Nauticus
for the Oaks and still think at 4/1 she is over-priced,this filly should be fav not ‘Secret Gesture’!
Ultrasonic
is a filly who has been running over the wrong trip,we’ll see a different filly tomorrow and again over-priced at 8/1 this time.I think Ole Stoutey could have a good day mate!

I only got 10/1 Darren because I lacked your foresight mate!
I haven’t looked at anything to beatDawn approach
because Nothing will,if I was betting without the fav I’d be on the ‘Duke of Marmalades’ half brother
Ruler of the world
at 9/2! As for ‘Ocovango’………….No Chance!
