I don’t edit with anything that knowingly changes what I’m saying, Nathan. My edits are usually to try and explain things clearer, when someone is struggling to understand.
Most of my edits are very small, sometimes only one word or sentence, sometimes just a spelling mistake.
If knowing someone has already replied I seldom edit; but an edit can be submitted before I know someone’s replied – as the one above; a longer elaboration on a one sentence answer that said little. Only trying to answer your questions in the best way possible. Sorry you don’t appreciate the effort.Wish you’d edit more, especially when telling untruths about people and not bothering to put it right once knowing it’s untrue. Extremely poor!
Value Is EverythingSeptember 1, 2018 at 07:01 #1366880I’ve edited that comment now.
Funny thing is, it says you modified that post yourself
Editing other people’s posts
Extremely very poor.

no-one is struggling to understand
Just because someone has a different view to you, timeform etc doesn’t mean they don’t understand.
The whole of the universe can have the same opinion as you and I still wouldn’t change mine, doesn’t mean I don’t understand
Do you understand…

Hmmmm,
All I did was report the post, Nathan; as you hadn’t put what you said right. Thanks for doing it now, better late than never.
Hope having it come up “edited by” does not put people off reporting posts that need reporting.

You think you understand what Hannon means from his totaly ambiguous comment, I don’t make that presumption.
Sadly, I too can be ambiguous without knowing it. People can struggle to understand me because I don’t always put things in a way people find easy to follow, hence my edits trying to make posts easier to understand what I am on about. ie Often people not understanding things I say is my fault.
Of course I understand people can have a different opinion to me, but 2 + 2 does = 4.
With respect, Nathan; I struggle to believe anyone with a reasonable understanding of sectional times and how ratings work would be asking the questions you’re asking and making the comments you’re making in the last page or two. But if you do understand sectional times and ratings then my apologies. Just don’t waste my time asking questions if knowing the answers.
I’ve tried to answer all your questions the best way I could, sorry if it’s not good enough. Nothing wrong with asking questions and nothing wrong with not understanding something, we’re all learning in this game.
Value Is EverythingSeptember 1, 2018 at 12:07 #1367133Anyway, back to today. Too Darn Hot looks a fair even money shot, so too short to back today. Have had a nibble of 20’s with B365 for The Derby.
Think Watan may prove best of the rest.
September 1, 2018 at 15:40 #1367364Grabbed the 20s as well. That was a good run to say the least!
September 1, 2018 at 15:49 #1367367Too Darn hot to beat Arthur Kitt for me and I can taste the 50/1 Champagne already at Epsom next June 😉
Thady Gosden getting plenty of praise for his professionalism in front of the cameras but don’t get carried away son. He mentioned that Too Darn Hot had won his maiden over 7F but it was actually a mile.
I reckon Too Darn Hot will cack all over Anthony Van Dyck but 5/1 for the Derby is ridiculous.
These shoddy quotes are why I like to play early and take a chance at bigger odds. He’s pretty much unbackable now.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
September 1, 2018 at 18:44 #1367545I asked earlier about Watan:-
This looks a tougher race and where does another defeat leave the horse moving forward?
Richard Hannon was bullish again before today’s race, talking about next year’s 2000 Guineas. The horse has gone out there and made him look like an idiot, getting beaten more than 15 lengths.
Surely it was not the original plan to run in the Acomb AND the Solario? Had he won the Acomb, would he have skipped the Solario and if so, why did second place trigger taking in the second race?
Richard Hannon said they would have some “Fun” with the horse. That didn’t look much fun today, seeing any Guineas plan seriously torpedoed.
Watan is 100/1 for those who wish to keep the faith.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
September 1, 2018 at 21:43 #1367896Anyone on at big prices for the derby, well done.
Anyone currently playing at 5/1 is absolutely bonkers.
September 1, 2018 at 23:51 #1367925I noticed on the head on replay the jockey of Watan looking down at the horses legs in the latter stages. Nothing was reported in the stewards report and it highly likely nothing so I hope there was no re-occurrence to any previous trouble the horse has had before. Although some feel that is impossible or extremely unlikely to happen anyway. I await to hear what Hannon has to say but suspect the silence will be deafening until before his next race. Which should be very soon as his breeding suggest he will be utter sh!te with age and when Hannon says we will have fun with one it usually ends up running plenty of times.

September 3, 2018 at 14:23 #1369094As predicted no words about Watan on Hannon’s website just an update on the 4 winners he had on Saturday.

September 7, 2018 at 15:17 #1371880Hannon on Watan
Reflecting on last week’s action and I must admit I was disappointed with Watan in the Solario Stakes at Sandown on Saturday. Ryan Moore said he never felt like he did at Goodwood and the horse had his mouth open from as soon as he left the stalls as he thought they were going to go a good gallop but they didn’t and then Frankie came on his inside and kept him wide the whole way round so it was a complete disaster really from the moment the gates opened. I would think he might have one more run before the end of the year and then we’ll put him away.
