Corach was travelling easy the whole way. Nowhere near the back the whole way and then woosh went clear and settled it :o)
April 15, 2023 at 17:56 #1643842Yes agreed I’m dreading to hear the outcome of the fallen horses.

Very pleased for the winner and connections fully deserved well done Mike and all who backed him.

I managed 4th and 5th. Noble Yeats and The Big Dog.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 15, 2023 at 17:57 #1643843Not a great spectacle this year with a lot of early carnage. I wonder if the delay played a part in that, possibly not as they did well to start as soon as they could.
Well done those in the money..Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
April 15, 2023 at 17:57 #1643844Party at Lucinda and Scu’s camper van tonight
April 15, 2023 at 17:58 #1643845Now here’s a question … if the protesters didn’t turn up and the race would’ve been run at the correct time, would the finishing order have been the same?
😂😂😂
April 15, 2023 at 18:04 #1643846Now here is another question: If you wouldn’t have such a useless prick as a starter how many G1 races would have finished the same???? This moron takes quite some energy out of the horses until they line up how he likes them. But not in every race, just in the ones he thinks a level start is important.
April 15, 2023 at 18:05 #1643847How did some of the loose horses end up on the inside of the track?
April 15, 2023 at 18:06 #1643849@moehat They jumped the inner rail
April 15, 2023 at 18:06 #1643850Nick Luck just said Hill Sixteen is still being attended to …
April 15, 2023 at 18:07 #1643851Thanks all.
Wd winners.
Regarding the ‘carnage’, im old skool and liked the races of old with the big fences and the drops. Whilst its very sad when horses don’t get up, jump racing has risks wherever they take place in the calendar. And generally speaking the National challenge is easier than it was.

Hmm I did like the big fences but the rotational falls were hideous, I’m glad those days are gone.
April 15, 2023 at 18:16 #1643854Hill Sixteen had unrecoverable injuries.
3 more injured.
Am sure the delays contributed to so many fallers at the first fence and caused this horrible outcome.April 15, 2023 at 18:16 #1643855Sorry to say Hill Sixteen is a confirmed fatality. Condolences to his connections.
Recite A Prayer and Cape Gentleman are injured and being assessed.

I tend to disagree. Half the horses went back to the paddock to chill out.
April 15, 2023 at 18:19 #1643857Well done to Russell and connections.
I had Vanillier at 33s and have to say Flanagan must of thought they were going around again.
With De Boinville I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Known as the iceman yet he totally bottled that. Suicide to kick so early.
Regards the race overall, as stated above it was carnage from the get go and just what those cancel culture scumbags will revel in.
April 15, 2023 at 18:21 #1643858Bet 3 horses , all fall at first , 1 dead …. Scunnered doesnt cover it , Thomsons yard will be distraught , wd to the winners
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
April 15, 2023 at 18:24 #1643859Delighted for Corach Rambler and connections.
Desperately sad about the fatality. RIP Hill Sixteen.
Fingers very much crossed for the other injured horses and jockey. I am astonished Sam Brown is not on the list as that was a hideous fall at The Chair.
I do not think this has been a good afternoon for racing.
