Min has to come here for me. He’s not going to beat Altior but he could win this. I know he might not settle but he didn’t settle and still won the John durkan. 2 miles is probably his best trip but what’s the point if you can’t win that race when you could quite easily win this
February 2, 2019 at 15:40 #1394876Mullins has some big calls to make with UDS, Min and Footpad.
He has plenty of entries in this race, so it depends on how Al boum photo stays 3miles tomorrow. Its a very difficult call as there really isn’t much between UDS min and footpad, but due to running styles, Footpad on his day is probably the most likely to beat Altior, whereas min and UDS have proven they can’t.
February 9, 2019 at 21:12 #1397048Still really like The Storyteller for this. If Elliot sticks to his guns, and sends Shattered Love to The Gold Cup, then The Storyteller would be the lowest of his runners in the betting. I’m not too concerned about his run in The Irish Gold Cup, and I’m happy that the course and trip will suit perfectly here.
Elliot does have a few at the bottom of the betting, but they just look like insurance jobs for Gigginstown, in case their other representatives don’t make. Bar Shattered Love, they’re all with other yards.
I said at the start of the season that I could see The Storyteller going for a hurdles race at Cheltenham, and with his hurdles mark, I stand by that, but the NRNB for this makes a massive difference, and the fact that it’s with B365, then even better.
Already on at 25’s, and bigger on the exchanges, but I just had to top up, just with the stables apparent lack of ammo here.
Already written off Frodon, which thankfully was a much smaller bet, but I would really like to lay off that Bachasson bet, as I think he’s a cert to go Stayers.
The Storyteller 33’s EW NRNB
Willie Boy 66’s EW NRNBThe Storyteller 150’s
Bachasson 260’s
Willie Boy 460’sFebruary 9, 2019 at 22:00 #1397055The Durkan form gives him a definite chance but I think a place is where he’ll finish.
February 9, 2019 at 22:10 #1397059I’d take that right now Mark.
February 10, 2019 at 12:08 #1397078Ha ! Yes, at that price it’s a good “ win “
I’m hoping Janika gets a better ride in this but, again, a place is the best they can hope for unless they’ve left plenty with which to work
February 10, 2019 at 12:33 #1397079Coney Island at 40s now so I topped up.
March 3, 2019 at 17:33 #1399627Happy to stick with Aso at 20/1 nrnb for now. Has an affinity with the course and placed in the race a couple years ago, not beaten too far by Un De Sceaux at his peak in the process. Happy enough to put a line through his last run as he has a far superior record going left handed. As each way propositions go I think he’s rock solid, especially as the race begins to cut up.
March 3, 2019 at 17:56 #1399629I like Aso and Frodon, though the value to my eye is Terrefort at 20/1
March 3, 2019 at 23:38 #1399660I too am on ASO and FRODON and until next week will stick with those two and hope Nicholls sees sense and runs Frodon in this!!
March 7, 2019 at 15:53 #1400089With the news that he’s going here, I have taken 7-1 on Road To Respect, and 33-1 each way on Coney Island.
March 7, 2019 at 22:49 #1400137I think it’s a great move to put Road to Respect in this, not sure he quite sees out the GC trip, 7/1 great price fully expect top 3.
March 8, 2019 at 21:09 #1400251Footpad into fav now
Cant have him at all at the prices given his two performances this season
Really hoping they see sense and run frodon here, think hed have a cracking chance
March 8, 2019 at 21:36 #1400254Frodon does run here, confirmed by Nicholls on Wednesday.
March 8, 2019 at 21:46 #1400256
If thats true Woolly then I am th jumper LOLI am all over FRODON for this !!
March 8, 2019 at 22:06 #1400259Hope that’s the case
My main worry then for frodon would be road to respect who has let me down twice big time this year and is fast becoming a cliff horse
So would be typical if road to respect won this beating frodon
The other worry would be getting into a pace battle with un de sceaux, they could set it up perfectly for something that is held up
Personally not a fan of monalee, think the ryanair winner should be beating a slowboat like anibale fly by much further than he did
Thinking now is frodon with a saver on road to respect if both run
March 8, 2019 at 22:39 #1400262Footpad now lay of the festival
