I just can’t unsee the way Thistlecrack travelled throughout the King George. He looked all over the winner turning in and finished encouragingly close, never looking like a spent force. I believe the extra two furlongs will suit and he is not afraid of that hill, either. Maybe I’m a sentimental fool, but I really do believe he has it in him to go close.
February 21, 2019 at 14:23 #1398630Thing with BDM is that away from Haydock its hard to see a win. Anyone who fancies him I’d wait until on the day and try to get an each way play 4 or 5 or even 6 places.
February 21, 2019 at 14:48 #1398636Regarding Bristol De Mai, the reason he is such a big price is that he is around a stone better at Haydock than any other course. If the GC were at Haydock he would be favourite. He brings to mind another staying chaser called Twin Oaks from the early 1990s who was all but unbeatable at Haydock. He would have won 9 consecutive appearances at Haydock but for running into the 1992 Gold Cup winner Cool Ground who was in receipt of 7 pounds.
February 22, 2019 at 15:34 #1398727Percy going straight to Cheltenham one would think.
March 1, 2019 at 16:33 #1399404Davy Russell singing the praises of Elegant Escape. Against my better judgement I may have a saver. I think the horse has more chance of coming last than winning but that’s what I said to my brother in law when he was about to place an each way bet on Nortons Coin at 200/1
March 2, 2019 at 05:34 #1399464Who does Davy Russel think he is and Alistair sat there nodding saying this is a real gold cup horse.
Stands no chance, zero, nothing but a slow tug boat, not a hope in hell.
If only Davy and Alistair had of read the forum they would have known what an absolute no hoper Elegant Escape is here.

Price dropped 10 points on betfair off the back of that preview. Wait til pricewise tips him up imminently. Price will collapse very soon.
Not long now team.

With just 12 days to go til history is made looking at the exchanges Presenting Percy is back into favorite after Clan ded Obeaux took that place, could change again but with the weight of Irish money on Percy I would think Percy will return fav in gold cup if he does run in the race.
Native River and Kemboy remain solid and have hardly really moved in months.
Might Bite has been a big positive lately with positive reports coming from Henderson and is half the price he was a week ago.
Thistlecrack has also been a positive this week off the back of Tizzards comments that all 3 of his have serious chances
Bellshill has stayed fairly solid since beating RTR.
Al Boum Photo the market seems unsure on him and its unclear if he will run here even though trainer has stated he will.
Road To Respect has been friendless is 28.0 at present.
Frodon has been very weak and out to 60.0 following rumours he will go to the Ryan air.
The legend Elegant Escape was around 48.0 plus this time last week but following an extremely positive feedback from Tizzard and Davy Russel and Alistair Downing both saying he has a very big chance he is down to 26.0. That’s a massive 22 point drop in his price over the last 7 days as finally people are beginning to wake up about this superstar in waiting.

Monatree is 3xtremely weak as is definitely red and anabale fly and invitation only.
Shattered Love is hanging in there at around 34.0 at present.
12 days to go.
STORM FREYA ARRIVES RIGHT ON TIME TO ENSURE ITS THE STAYER WHOS GOING TO BE THE BIG PLAYER

If you thought that was good form wait til you see me on the 15th March.

Road To respect appears to have lost a leg now freely available at 40.0 on the exchange.
Could be scared off by the presence of a legend and be going Ryan Air route perhaps?

“This year, It would have been lovely to go to Newbury but it didnt happen and we went for a gallop at wincanton…. but he’s fit”
As Joe tells us “hes fit” he gives away a classic body language clue that shows he isnt being entirely truthful here. The old classic ‘The Nose Touch`.
Very interesting to know that Native River is NOT where the tizzards wanted him to be at this stage fitness wise. Joe’s made a schoolboy error here and we now know we confidently cross off native river as a potential winner here.
March 3, 2019 at 12:07 #13995968-12mm at most predicted around Cheltenham over next 48 hours…barely enough to change the current going on that course
March 3, 2019 at 14:26 #1399608STORM FREYA ARRIVES RIGHT ON TIME
Let’s hope it’s not Fraya Bentos for EE after the Gold Cup
March 3, 2019 at 15:34 #1399613WD with that winner Potato you’re in good form this weekend.
March 4, 2019 at 21:38 #1399743Yeah! Its elegent escape there running from for sure with RTR! With the current flrecast i wouldnt be surprised if EE is a NR
March 5, 2019 at 09:54 #1399778I have a sneaking suspicion that if Might Bite gets his ground they’re going to let him use his big stride, go from the front and let him bowl along. If so I think he could take them all out of their comfort zone and could destroy the field. Lots of ‘if buts and maybes’ there but I think they might just have got him right in time.
March 5, 2019 at 18:21 #1399834I so wish that happened CNC but I fear that Might Bite has his own ideas about the game!!
March 6, 2019 at 14:42 #1399912Potato, I have a hunch as to your identity…
I was at a preview event last night where one panel member in particular was praising your god EE.
After (perhaps) a few too many glasses of wine, said individual burst into a monologue about how EE could win the Gold Cup, in a way alarmingly similar to your posts. He even mentioned “the team”!
Are you Oli Bell in disguise??
March 6, 2019 at 15:17 #1399920Good to soft soft in places today – Claisse: “Plenty more rain to come”
Get your Elegant savers on folks!
March 6, 2019 at 17:07 #1399938I can confirm I am not Oli Bell.
Hopefully you will get to read my reply and learn of my non identity before the psycho admin moves my reply.
