BHA 145 +11 Tim, one of them is wrong that’s for certain.
January 30, 2018 at 14:11 #1339906Had an early look at this and settled on three
KAYF GRACE 12/1 won really well last time out and looked progressive
MISTERTON 20/1 did nothing wrong in the greatwood and is likely to improve if anything from that
HIGH BRIDGE 16/1 did it nicely last time against Charli Parcs in spite of having to make his own running.
I haven’t gone mad as I am not sure what is going to turn up
Will Irish Roe get in the race off 134?
January 30, 2018 at 14:16 #1339908Like Kayf Grace also Raymo, if the ground turns up soft she’ll be one of mine I’d think. Going to wait and see what irish runners I can score off once they run this weekend and then probably have a punt on her.
February 5, 2018 at 00:57 #1340913Cliffs Of Dover must be working well
February 5, 2018 at 15:39 #1340957Added Kalashnikov at 14/1. Right now, he’d be an earthquake of a winner for me. I’m all over Amy Murphy’s charge for this.
February 5, 2018 at 17:43 #1340964Misterton was the one who first took my eye. A neck second to Elgin, I thought he was going to win that race at one stage.
Four wins and four places in ten starts is good and he looks perhaps as if he’s been waiting for this. Winners have come from his last race most notably The New One and Jenkins, who were 4th and 7th when Misterton was 2nd.
I didn’t see any 20’s for Misterton but felt 16/1 was a fair price for a wee win bet.
With the stable in pretty good form (5 from last 20 winning) Misterton 16/1 for me.
Good luck in this minefield.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
February 5, 2018 at 20:10 #1340987Betfair have went NRNB, in case any of you missed it.
Few still in their from my original shortlist.
Big fan of Kayf Grace, but I think, even with the NRNB, she might be available at bigger odds, should she trap here. Had a race like this in mind for her all season. Don’t need to bet Moon Racer, as he’d give my Champion Hurdle Book a much healthy look should he take this. Big ask for him off of a layoff, but very nicely weighted.
That leaves me with Poppy Kay & Project Bluebook.
I’ll leave Poppy until final decs, and decide on her, so have finally went with Bluebook. Still available at 33’s, but took the 25’s NRNB ew, and have also taken 100’s to 130’s, be great if he made it, but I know that five days off, it’s far from certain.
February 5, 2018 at 20:50 #1340991Cliffs Of Dover must be working well
Looked a real tool last season. Would be great to see him back.
February 5, 2018 at 21:03 #1340997Moon Racer @ 25/1
Irish Roe @ 10/1February 6, 2018 at 12:49 #1341037Ground too soft for ‘Cliffs of Dover’???. I know its a dryish week but this one needs a road in my humble opinion
February 6, 2018 at 22:45 #1341087I’ve gone in on the 20’s about Moon Racer. Isn’t shy of class and looks well treated. Also taken a chance on Silver Streak towards the bottom…
February 7, 2018 at 00:07 #1341094Good luck with him Peter, though some ask off of that layoff.
I know it doesn’t confirm anything, but taking some hope from Brian Hughes being jocked up on Project Bluebook.
February 8, 2018 at 11:12 #1341234Am happy that my three are all still there!!
Not so happy about the jockey booking for Misterton though
Can get 20/1 with bet365 again Steve!
Probably on the day will be having a saver on Verdana Blue which amazingly is in the Champion Hurdle and Hendo says she is going there!!February 8, 2018 at 13:28 #1341250It is asking a lot for Moon Racer to be ready for this after his bout of colic.
David Pipe has stated that he is pleased with him, and although he also mentions he’s in
good order, he does warn that he will come on for the run. Difficult to say exactly how
far forward he is, but I think if near his best, and with the handicapper having dropped
him 6lbs, he would have a good chance. If it were David’s old man, I’d sniff a bit of a
touch going down as it’s exactly the type of rich handicap he’d target and try to come
in under the radar, I’m not sure Pipe Jnr is in the same mold. I’ve taken the 25s, I
think he’s worth taking the chance at those odds.February 8, 2018 at 14:08 #1341256Kayf Grace & Silver Streak the two I’ve backed in this.
Kayf Grace
Will enjoy conditions, is still well handicapped and racing off a nice weight with Nico up. 12s is value and she must have a good chance.Silver Streak
Won a handicap well two runs back and then bumped into a very well handicapped horse in Hunters Call to finish second, only getting raised 3. Was very well punted that day and with young Mitch’s claim once again taking off 5 I think he’s good value at 14s.February 8, 2018 at 14:28 #1341258Misterton for me first of all. I’ve taken 20-1 to win, and also taken advantage of the sponsors 6 places at 16-1.
I am still looking at Lalor, but with Davy Russell booked, I like the 14-1 for Verdana Blue. That is an eye catching booking, and I can see them getting together again in The Champion Hurdle
February 8, 2018 at 21:40 #1341316Huge price for Charli Parcs here with Coral. LostSoldier3 any reason why so high? I’ll have him each way definitely, and maybe take the 12-1 for Blue Et Rouge as well.
