Bet365 voided my bet on Projection, so I live to fight another day!
Great stuff plunger, they were a bit slow off the mark but came good
eventually. Well done for keeping on at them
September 25, 2017 at 23:42 #1318896Had many a good day out in Dunoon Graham, hope you enjoy it, and have settled in.
September 26, 2017 at 00:37 #1318904Has anyone had an ante post bet for a horse that wasn’t declared returned by Bet365?
I was hoping someone who had maybe had those circumstances would have replied to you plunger.
I can’t recall that I have, but I’ve already had my ante post returned by them although it was
ready to run. There seems to be some chance that it might head to Haydock now. What I found in
Bet365’s rules was the following…………“If the venue for a sporting event is changed, all bets placed based on the original venue will be made void and stakes refunded, unless otherwise stated.”
As my stake has already been returned, I don’t think the “otherwise stated” comes into it. That
being the case, I’m in agreement with Steve that you should get back your stake, even although it
didn’t make the final declarations. Good luck with it mate, and let us know what the outcome is
I did reply on page 4 to him to be fair..
September 26, 2017 at 02:20 #1318905Yes I saw that you had replied MOM, as had I, to plunger’s follow up to his original question
which was “I’m not holding my breath on Bet365 giving me my Aeolus money back”, we both gave
the advice that we could at that point. It was his additional question at the foot of page 4“Has anyone had an ante post bet for a horse that wasn’t declared returned by Bet365?”
that I hung off replying to, to see if anyone who had encountered the same circumstances with
Bet365 came back with a reply. I couldn’t recall that I had, but when there were no takers to
that particular question, I posted the further reply you quoted in your response above.I’m glad to see he got the matter resolved eventually
September 26, 2017 at 09:51 #1318918Thanks guys, it was good to have your inputs and support. To be fair once I moved to mailing them with detail, including your excerpts from the rules, it was all done smoothly.
Plunger.
September 27, 2017 at 11:01 #1319009I was going to start a new thread for the replacement race, the 32Red Gold Cup, but just going to keep it here.
Money to play with since the abandonment of Ayr, and first off I’m going to stick with Johnny Barnes, win only. He’s 11’s with Ladbrokes, and although he’s got other entries, trainer states he goes here, and although I normally take these comments with a pinch of salt, this does look ideal for him, and he was impressive last time.
I was keen on Get Knotted for The Silver Cup, and he should get in here, and 25’s looks a fair each way price to me.
I’d consider 3 on the day for this, but 2 for now is more than enough.
September 27, 2017 at 12:04 #1319016Bobby, you’re building a nice formline on total posts :)
September 27, 2017 at 18:06 #1319041lol Joe, I’m definitely a model of consistency
September 27, 2017 at 18:35 #1319044Am currently on DONJUAN TRIUMPHANT and JOHHNY BARNES for this Bobby.
Too be honest I could back about ten!!
Al Qahwa which I fancied for one of the consolations!!
Naggers which I though was going to be a real progressive six furlong horse earlier in the season.
Projection but the ground will be too soft for him.
Mr Lupton who looks ready to win a big six furlong handicap.
Stake Acclaim who was badly hampered at Donny albeit he was probably beat at the time.
Rene Mathis who was one of my original fancies for the race.
Get Knotted who has done me some right favours in the past.I could go on and on but I wont!!
September 27, 2017 at 20:51 #1319064Good luck Raymo (with Johnny, not Donjuan)
September 28, 2017 at 17:45 #1319143Not really a race for 3 picks, but for those who like Growl, he looks very big at 25’s with the sponsors.
September 28, 2017 at 21:27 #1319180Donjuan Triumphant for me too Raymo. I liked him a lot for Ayr and although half the price here, I think we should get a good run. I took 10-1 win
September 29, 2017 at 16:00 #1319282Bit of an anti climax but keeping the faith with Donjuan for this to win @ 10’s.
Was sick as a parrot when the meeting was called off last week
September 29, 2017 at 16:44 #1319287You and me both Botchy!!!

I thought Get Knotted had coasted into the Gold Cup itself in the end Bobby? Sure I saw him about five or six places off the bottom weight in the decs?
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
September 29, 2017 at 17:32 #1319296Yeah, he was def in the big one Steve, but long term I had in mind for the consolation, and didn’t think he would have made sneaked in early doors.
September 30, 2017 at 15:14 #1319471I hope I’m not going to regret deserting GROWL, but I’ve gone for
GET KNOTTED at 20/1 who I had bet in the Ayr Gold
Cup, but that wasn’t to be. I think he’ll handle this pretty heavy
ground. I’ve also gone for DOC SPORTELLO at 66/1.
It’s more a sneaking feeling that he might be coming back to form,
so at that price I’ll take a chance. Such a pity this wasn’t at
Ayr
